  1. At two-thirds the price of Origins with about two-fifths the content, a return trip to the land of Ferelden doesn’t feel like the deal it seemed it would be.

Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening serves as a good stopgap between major releases, but it doesn't fully satisfy the Dragon Age craving.
  3. Awakening is a great expansion. It delivers around 20 hours of role-playing goodness, which flows better and is more varied than what we got in the original game. We also get new and interesting characters and a bunch of new abilities and items to play with.
  4. The new content does its job of keeping the appeal factor high, but the bugs, lack of story depth and uninteresting characters don’t exactly invite in newcomers.
  5. This is truly for hardcore Dragon Age fans only and even they may well feel that the whole game has been dumbed down way too much to be recognizable any more.

You can expect close to 20 hours of new gameplay. You get a new cast of characters (and one old). There's lots of loot, experience, and new locales to be had. This is the best of the bunch as far as DA DLC goes. Full Review »

This is the kind of expansion that any gamer would want for any game. It's stays true the original formula it adds plenty of new ideas, character and locations. Really terrific new party members, a real shame they weren't given as much depth as the in DA: Origins, but that's only a minor quirk as they still did a great job all things considered. Overall: A MUST BUY for anyone who loved DA: Origins. Full Review »
