    Despite some small bugs and two somewhat open endings, Witch Hunt proves to be a fine DLC that should't disappoint any fan of the series. If you're a fan of the game and look forward to a decent conclusion to the fantasy saga told until now, look no further.

    The tale of how you find Dragon Age's sparsely clothed mage is a decent one filled with personality and humor, and the combat encounters, as brief as they are, can be fun, but Witch Hunt ultimately doesn't provide enough substance to satisfy.

    As an excuse to spend another mildly diverting evening in Ferelden, Witch Hunt does its job, but it's a functional offering rather than an inspiring one. Hamstrung by the piecemeal nature of Dragon Age DLC, and squandering a lot of the brilliantly constructed narrative from the full game, it's for completists only.

    Maybe if Morrigan's ending had been a satisfying one I would have been fine with paying for a 45 minute side quest through places I've already been but it wasn't-so I'm not.

    The Good: Finn and Ariane, the new companions who join the Warden on this adventure, are interesting and amusing. Their dialogue is the highlight of this DLC.

    The Meh: Combat is boring and unchallenging; the sole new creature comes from the development of DA2. Areas are all reused from Origins and Awakening. This gives the whole experience an air of the tired and predictable. It really doesn't feel like a lot of effort was put into the DLC.

    The Bad: It is extremely short. Also, for a DLC that was billed to be about Morrigan, and offered the chance to resolve the Warden's situation with her and gain answers, it failed woefully. On release, it was bugged so as not to recognise all the decisions the Warden made at the end of Origins (so Morrigan would react as if your actions had been different to what you actually did, in many cases). The bug has since been fixed, however. Only a tiny proportion of the game's already minuscule play length were spent with Morrigan at the end, and they were very unsatisfying to my (female) Warden, providing no closure whatsoever. (Male Wardens who romanced Morrigan do get a chance for closure, but I guess I was just unlucky enough to play the "wrong" gender and romance the "wrong" companions?)    … Full Review »

    Overall a really forgettable DLC that seems to only pander to those who wanted more closure regarding Morrigan. The mission itself isn't bad, it just feels a bit out of place and needless. I really would only recommend this DLC to those who chose Morrigan as their Romance option. Everyone else, can give it a miss.… Full Review »
