As much as I hate to say it, Dragon Ball Z: Battle Of Z is mediocre to say the least. in Battle Of Z you can fight in very nicely designed arenas. The same thing applies in the story mode only in the story mode you fight agenst bots. UNFORTUNATELY the combat is very dull. It is your standard 3 button combat with a special move. graphics are dull on the xbox 360 with terrible textures but surprisingly decent lighting. the multiplayer is unballanced. and the AI in the single player is terrible. even though it does have some fun times playing with friends and addictive leveling up system DBZ:BOZ is alright in my oppinion. NOT GREAT but good. if you want it, pick it up in a sale, it is not worth the $60 price tag. Expand

Seriously? A card game of DBZ, still waiting for budokai tenkaichi 3 HD remake, it's not terrible, i'm disappointed, Let's be fair, 5/10, because it's a good game, but not for DBZ.

Although battle of z is flawed it is a fun game. The story has much replay value and takes a decent amount of time to complete the mechanics are basic but interesting enough. With 67 decently diverse characters to choose from battle of z stands as one of the better dragon ball games. The main flaws of the game are the lack of offline multiplayer and somewhat limited choices for ways to play (only two main game modes). Overall battle of z is a worthwhile buy for fans but for general fighting game fans you should wait till the price drops. Final score 7.5. Expand

Well, it could have been a lot worse, atleast the game can be fun when you play with others. The fighting in this game lacks impact and is just plain boring.

This game is alright. But what can you expect from a DBZ game lately? This is just another of those games that take too long to make yet turn out to be just like the last game. This game was't as bad as Ultimate Tenkaichi, and that piece of crap they call a game of DBZ Kinect. The fighting is great, and the animation is much better, but the games get repetitive since all the DBZ games have the same missions every freaking time. The missions are either too short or too long, it skips alot of fights, and jumps straight to the boss battles or final battles like Freeza. The fights get boring and repetitive after a couple missions since the fights are all the same except for the characters. 70+ Characters were announced, yet we only got around 40 and they counted their other forms as separate characters. We did get Bills, Whis, and Naruto sage costume for goku. No custom character creation at all, and the multiplayer was alright. Again this game is not the best DBZ game, yet not the worst. A great game for casual gamers that play for fun, or just wanted to play with the new characters from the movie Battle of Gods. Expand

A forgettable title in Dragon Ball series, with some good ideas poorly executed. Here's hoping that the next chapters in the series will bring a needed revamp in quality.

It's probably the most bland and repetitive DBZ game of this generation, with its only saving grace being the immense roster of characters.

Still feels as shallow and monotonous as ever. [Apr 2014, p.89]
