Treasures of the Sun is a nice side diversion with Dungeon Siege 3. The core game remains a fun hack-and-slash loot-a-thon, and the DLC gives you several hours more game. The dungeons are well laid out, the enemies are challenging, the loot is plentiful, the art is gorgeous, and it's absolutely worth your time if you enjoyed the original game.

Overall, Dungeon Siege III: Treasures of the Sun is a good DLC pack. For $10, players get three to five hours of gameplay per character in some neat new environments. You also get new abilities and a solidly written individual plot, so it's a good value for those who enjoyed the base game. Nothing here's going to change the minds of non-fans, though.

Although the DLC doesn't really differ much in the way of gameplay, the story is solid and fun to play through. Even the side quests are entertaining. Add to that the new loot, enchanting and ability systems, and Treasures of the Sun is a piece of DLC that no Dungeon Siege III fan should be without.

Treasures of the Sun is definitely one for the fans and it offers plenty of new content with its new locale, while simultaneously giving you a new reason to play through the full game again.

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. This little DLC package I would recommend to anyone who enjoyed the core game of DS3. I found Treasures of the Sun's pacing and story to be much more entertaining than most of the main game and if you like achievements then this is an easy 250 points for just finishing the quests contained within the story arc.
The story is set in desert style environment with new enemies including mummies, undead, and giant sandworms. The graphical models are all new and interesting based on Syrian style mythology with plenty of new and potent loot drops to be found. It also makes getting some achievements, from the main game easier to obtain such as collect 60 lore entries and obtain level 30. Recommended.
