So, will I play Earthworm Jim more than a couple of times? Absolutely! The humor and sound effects alone keep me smirking and coming back for more.
  2. If you've never played Earthworm Jim, definitely open your mind and have a sense of humor and try this title out as it contains some of the better gaming memories (and I loved the cartoon!) I have from the 90's. If you're an old Earthworm Jim vet like myself, pick it up again if only to appreciate for it's much sharper visuals and enjoy the nostalgia; hopefully you'll find enough new features and levels to make some new memories with Jim as well.
  3. Earthworm Jim HD is certainly short, but its amazing. This remake of the great Shiny Game shows that with great visuals and co-op add-ons these old classic gems really can stand the test of time.
  4. The personality and surreal art style of Earthworm Jim HD win out over the fidgety controls, but they aren't capable of moving the title into the stratosphere of a must-buy.

Earthworm Jim is not the superhero we used to adore as a child any more. This remake has almost nothing new to offer and is not innovative enough to bring Earthworm Jim back to his former glory.

As childhood shattering as it may be, the whole package is likely to leave you rather cold. [Issue#61, p.105]
  7. A well-done graphical update that stays true to the classic platformer. Sadly, the original game isn't very good, and the update doesn't change that. Co-op is a nice addition, though.

Definitely a classic that no old school gamer would miss. Great game and it works good on the both Xbox 360 and PS3.

    As would Earthworm Jim

As would Earthworm Jim himself say: Groovy!

the 90's was a weird time, that's for sure. Probably due to the likes of Ren and Stimpy or Beavis and Butt-head. But the weirdest of 'em allthe 90's was a weird time, that's for sure. Probably due to the likes of Ren and Stimpy or Beavis and Butt-head. But the weirdest of 'em all was definitely Earthworm jim. Does this HD remake update the original for newer generations? in a word, f*ck yes. The graphics have been built from the ground up and might even rival the upcoming Sonic Mania in terms of looks. The music has been redone as well, and feels right at home on the old 360. As for new features, it has Xbox live trophies, two of which are PAINFULLY hard to obtain, and online multiplayer not unlike New Super Mario Bros. Wii's chaotic excuse for multiplayer. This remake is a solid update which those that played the original might wanna check out. But Completionists beware, two of the Xbox trophies are obscenely hard to get. Expand
