Players battle as one of five unique classes in either the conventionally armed GDF army or the futuristic Strogg invasion force, each outfitted with specialist weapons and combat hardware. In this adrenaline pumping fight for survival, warring forces utilize a variety of different vehicles, deployable structures, and defense systems including quad-bikes, tanks, and alien walkers for epic ground assaults; or helicopters and anti-gravity ships to unleash airborne attacks. Throughout each battle, teams establish bases, deploy defense structures, artillery, radar, and advanced forward-command systems into enemy territory while constructing and demolishing obstacles to speed progress and gain a tactical advantage over the opponent. Enemy Territory: Quake Wars features 16-player battles on the console systems, delivering the ultimate team-and objective-based multiplayer experience. [Activision/id Software] Collapse

  1. Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars is a revolutionary online experience, a paradigm shift in tactical multiplayer game design, and the online game that the console world has been waiting for.
  2. Xbox 360 owners should certainly consider giving Quake Wars a shot though. It's a very impressive package and should gain a decent online following.
  3. Get this one for its online action, which moves quickly and rewards those who have the skill and knowledge to play to the strengths of the many weapons and vehicles.

If you can round up at least three friends online, the game's problems and shortcomings tend to fade into the background.
  5. In terms of value alone, it's difficult to recommend Quake Wars. You'll love the giant sandbox filled with such distinct classes, high-tech weaponry, and attack vehicles. But when limited to only 16 players on just 12 maps, the gameplay is one-dimensional.
  6. The biggest question mark is whether a big enough online community will spring up around it to allow it to fulfill its potential. Sadly, with a fair amount of optimisation issues rearing their heads early on, Quake Wars looks destined to line-up with the also-rans in the online shooter stakes.
  7. 42
What would've otherwise been a fun multiplayer shooter is marred by a series of technical issues.

It feels like a destructive battlefield against the skills of teamwork from the opposite side. Though it gets repetitive and I took long breaks for while because it felt plain afterwards once I played it for too long.Overall experience of the game is amazing and it will forever be in my arsenal pack of video games.
