  1. Codemasters got the "pole" thanks to F1 2010, probably the best driving Formula One simulator ever made. Its Artificial Intelligence and climatic effects are on the edge of perfection, and its speed feeling, definitely, will leave you astonished.
  2. Excellent graphics and great game play are the perfect mix to make this game great fun.
  3. Despite some very minor frustrating moments in the F1 2010, Codemasters has worked hard to bring F1 experience to the small screen and for the most part they have succeeded.
  4. F1 2010 remains a game to be uttered in the same breath as Crammond's Formula One Grand Prix, Bizarre Creations' Formula 1 '97, and Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco GP II.
  5. The best F1 season in years deserves the best F1 game in years – thankfully, that's exactly what it's got.
  6. Codemasters strikes again with another racing masterpiece from the creators of DIRT and GRID. Even Geoff Crammond would be proud of this new entry in the F1 simulators world.
  7. Combining ease of use both on and off the track is the key to why this game stands out. Couple that with accessible racing and an eye towards realism, and Codemasters finally delivers an F1 game everyone can enjoy.
  8. One thing is certain; Codemasters knows how to create great racing games. F1 2010 isn't perfect, but it definitely feeds my long and unsatisfied F1 craving.
  9. With F1 2010, Codemasters fulfilled its contract and managed to offer not only an exhaustive content of the 2010 season of Formula One, but also a great single player career mode which look like a VIP pass to the F1 paddock.
  10. F1 2010 is the Formula 1 game we longed for. There are some remarkable flaws and 'living the live' isn't that great, but even Schumacher would be excited about the race-experience itself.
  11. Codemasters have made it with both Colin McRae: Dirt and Racedriver: GRID. This time around the Brits offer an exciting and action oriented racing experience with the official Formula 1 game F1 2010. Build your own career at your own pace in the worlds most powerful cars.
  12. Accessible with a really good sense of speed. F1 2010 should please all fans of Formula 1 - and others.
  13. If it's Formula One that you want, F1 2010 delivers the finest, most all-encompassing F1 racer on console.
  14. F1 2010 is a good first attempt at bringing the wonder of Formula One to current-generation consoles.
  15. The game has a frankly obscene amount of content to discover, all of it measured and absorbing. Whether the more arcadey difficulty levels will be entertaining enough for casual racing fans is debatable. You'll undoubtedly get the most out of it if you have the patience to approach it as a serious racer and learn to use gears, brakes and progressive throttle.
  16. Even if you don't passionately follow Formula 1, F1 2010 is fantastic for those interested in investing the time in each race. Sadly, it's not as polished as previous Codemasters games, and it requires you to be willing to work around some serious bugs.

F1 2010 has been a long time coming, and those who enjoy the sport will find such value in this title.
  18. If Codemasters can covert a hardcore arcade loyalist like myself, I can only imagine how quickly it will steal the soul of a true F1 fan.
  19. It's been too long since a decent Formula 1 racing game has been available on the PC and Xbox 360. Codemaster's first effort has a lot of things going for it, but there will be room for improvement for years to come. They seem to be on the right track!
  20. F1 2010 is an extremely accomplished game, which blends enthusiast-level nerdiness seamlessly with an admirable playability, and even if it is a little on the brutal side, it deserves its place on the podium of great driving simulators.

Easily the best Grand Prix game since Geoff Crammond was on the beat. Its driving is second to none and is brought alive by a dynamic weather system, while its racing is as thrilling as the real thing.
  22. Overall, F1 2010 can be a very immersive game and draw you in for a few seasons provided you are patient with it and go in the right mindset.
  23. Without question one of the finest racing games available today. Fantastic.
  24. With F1 2010 you get to drive good looking cars against clever opponents and experience a racing game with a very realistic racing experience. All those positives make the negatives passable, such as long loading times, bad damage system and bothersome pit stops.

THE F1 Game. A Must Buy for racing sims and F1 fans.
  26. A great start to Codemasters' Formula 1 career, with astonishing visuals, great attention to detail and superb handling.
  27. Codemasters managed to recreate the main aspects of the F1 championship, with a very good and enjoyable career, a driving model suitable for both newbies and expert drivers and great graphics expecially in wet conditions. Too bad fore some annoying bugs that worsen the overall experience.
  28. Fans of F1 will happily find enough to keep them busy until next year's inevitable release. For anyone else, you won't find much to hold your attention past the initial handful of seasons.
  29. F1 2010 is a brilliant recreation of the sport, but as a complete package it can't quite top the dizzy heights achieved by DiRT 2. [Oct 2010, p.96]

In bringing Formula One back to HD consoles, the racing veterans have created a robust and at times thrilling game that effortlessly slips into pole position ahead of this generation's other F1 efforts.

Was so looking forward to this game. Game is good but is so full of bugs, don't they have Beta Testers? Worst of all is the corrupt save bug. I played it for 2 days then started it up again and got the corrupt auto save error. Which, because there is only one save slot, causes u to lose all championship progress and forces you to start at the very beginning. Basically unplayable, do u really want to go through 18 races only to find you lose everything and have to start again. Unforgivable. So what I have here is a game in which I can race single Grand Prix's, do time trials and multiplayer. Think I'll go back to Forza 2. Full Review »

When i first fired up the game, i did not knew what to expect, as i know codemasters from their superb rally games, where dirt 2 is being myWhen i first fired up the game, i did not knew what to expect, as i know codemasters from their superb rally games, where dirt 2 is being my favorite one, and in the old day's i remember some toy cars in and around the house, where i first saw it on the sega megadrive. so far, i only played codemasters games that could do drifts. so how's formula 1's grip driving going to work ? after a 2 hours ride in one row, i can safely say they did it. just wonderfull. and for the novice players who also like to be in a formula 1 season, rejoyce, as codemasters have put in a lot of options that can be turned on, off, or somewhat in the middle. like auto braking, a row of arrows showing the proper racing line, and turns to red if you enter the corner to fast. also a option for a less nervous car in the shape of stabillity controll, and the computer AI can be adjusted.

so, everything's in there, from the options, to the proper feeling of the drive, but is this game trying to be different ? well, for me, yes. i never have played a formula 1 racer where you get interviewed if you placed 3'rd or better, and you have a lovely girl in your trailer doing all the office stuff, like sweettalking other teams if you want to race for the bigger players on the grid. you will recognize the menue structure, witch, like in DiRT 2, keeps you in the formula 1 mood, as there's people outside your trailer talking, taking notes, and there's the few members of the press that sometimes calls you out for a small interview. those interviews must not be taken lightly, as what you say to them will have a effect on the team. so trashtalking about your co driver won't be tolerated.

ok, lets talk numbers: 19 tracks, the full racing grid, tons of options, and the feeling of being there. lets do the proper review:

graphics: 9.0: considering the huge amount of F1 cars on the track, the trackside is still very detailed, and even the early tracks youll race looks just like a replica of the real track. with grass sticking out instead of being a texture, and even buildings far away are in proper 3D, with details like balkony's and airconditioning. there's only one thing missing, and that's the publick, they are there, but i expected some flash photography, and maybe some confetti, but that's jsut a minor gripe. with a more than solid framerate, this complets the picture. properly done, and no real faults.

sound: 8.5: not all the car's sounds differently, but play this trough a stereo instead of the speakers from a lcd/plasma/led tv, and youll be more than just content. in some cases you feel like being there. sure, not everything is just as swift as the graphics are, like when a car passes you, the engine note does not always swell up properly, but in the heat of the batle, who cares? to bad the music only plays when youre in the menue, as the race only has the surrounding noice, and engine notes. but that may be what the programmers liked the most, as a proper F1 car does not have a stereo.

gameplay: 9.5: with so many options, there's bound to be a way the game feels like you want it to. exept when you want to drift, but then you've got the wrong game. this game feels fast, has wickedly responsive controlls, and just somehow they managed to get the racing feeling transferred to both the MS steering wheel as well as the normal game pad. just love it. hope they will make a sequel.

lastabillity: 9.5: for me, this last longer than the 2010 racing season. with 19 tracks (with variable weather), all the F1 cars, online play, and lots of game modes (time trial, single race, single season, and the big game mode), this game will last me a very long time. i don't mind driving 7 seasons, like i indeed just started.

totall score: 9.5: i don't dare give it a 10, as if codemasters will create a sequel, and use the knowledge of what they did with this game, and what input they might get from players, i guess the sequell may get a little bit better. so that's why i went for 9.5. i'm a racing nut tough, so not everyone will agree. it's a matter of taste. if you love F1, you love this. this ranks from sim racer to sim race teacher (i'm glad there's only auto brake, not auto stearing, as then there would be no reason to really participate :-P). i'm more than impressed with the final product. it took a long time to make, but the end result is done exelent. two thumbs up for codemasters.

In short words, this game is a BETA. The damage system is worse than psx games, your car is practically a tank even with full damage enabledIn short words, this game is a BETA. The damage system is worse than psx games, your car is practically a tank even with full damage enabled and you can only break the fornt wing. The IA is stupid, CPU controlled cars runs in the same way in non-timed laps or even with damages, the IA is inconstat between tracks, some are really hard and other really easy, and additionally his qualify are fakes, you can find more info about that in lot of websites. The penalty system is also stupid and ignores a lot of F1 rules and also there is no safety car. The car physics are unrealistic even with full simulation enabled, if your car is spining simply push the brake and it magically aims to the right direction again in milisecons, you can also full brake for long without skid, and if you full throttle there is some kind or awful auto-clutch.

The pad controls are bad calibrated, with both xbox and ps3 controllers, the direction respond in abrupt way and the throttle only respond in the last half range.

There is no telemetry to know how good are yours car adjusts so isn't possibe to fine tune your car. Online play works leaky or simply doesn't work.

You want more? waste your money in this game and you'll find thousands of bugs making this game unplayable and a lot of unfinished stuff.
