Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition is truly unmissable. Combining the already-fantastic main game with the great DLC that was subsequently released for F3, this is one of the greatest games of all time. Haven't played Fallout 3: GotY? Haven't lived.

One of the best games ever made. It's true freedom and wealth of (original) content make this a time sponge. Every story from the main mission to the side missions to just little things you come across are all written with care, skill and imagination. The atmosphere in this game is second to none. You feel like you are in a living world, where your actions actually change things. InOne of the best games ever made. It's true freedom and wealth of (original) content make this a time sponge. You feel like you are in a living world, where your actions actually change things. In that sense it felt like a cross between the original Deus Ex and an Elder Scrolls game to me when playing. A good cross. The DLC are excellent too and add many more hours into a game which I've already spent over 100+ on. The Karma aspect of the game adds a lot to the game too I feel. You also don't feel like you're having your face shoved into the content either unlike Skyrim I felt. Fallout 3 is subtle in that way; some of the most memorable moments and most fun you will have are things you will stumble across in your own way, not because someone sent you there and it's all set up for you to experience. It does have bugs and freezes sometimes, but don't believe the hype about it being unplayable. The ideas in this game are great too as is the music. There's nothing quite like walking across the Wastelands with golden oldie music streaming from the radio, only to see a gas station nearby but not knowing if it's worth the risk. Hands down one of the best games ever made. Expand

The package is a steal at anywhere from $20-$60. 4 DLC packs plus the full game = a ton of hours of content. I've had it since 2010 and I STILL haven't done everything in the game. The problems this game has are frame rate issues and the fact that the game will freeze eventually every time you play the game. Auto save really helps this though. This is the RPG I spent the most time with (~100 Hours) and I don't regret it. This is a great game, especially the GOTY Edition. I liked every DLC except Operation Anchorage. Even though the game is packed with bugs, I never found any game-breaking stuff. Only the usual physics bugs and a couple graphical glitches. I really don't feel like this game should be penalized for these bugs, instead, it suffers more from gameplay problems like the very bad shooting mechanics, the worse melee combat, weird third-person mode, and more...But, if you put these problems aside, you get a very good and immersive RPG experience that is really enjoyable. Just make sure you get the GOTY Edition for some extra 99999999999999999999 Hours of content (just kidding [not really]). Expand
