  • Summary: FIFA Soccer 07 on the Xbox 360 moves away from the traditional animation-based game engine and now enables raw physics and data to drive the action, creating true-to-life movement and the most advanced visuals seen in a soccer game. Player characteristics are based on brand-new traits and twice the number of attributes, so you won't see two players moving in exactly the same way. Instead they look and behave like the athletes we see gracing the pitch week-in, week-out. Improved fundamental controls that are easy to pick-up-and play but difficult to master and enhanced AI enable you to truly enjoy the virtual recreation of the beautiful game. The ball and players react to your slightest touch with an unprecedented level of responsiveness, giving you complete control. For the first time ever the ball is alive with its own independent physics, resulting in truly unpredictable gameplay. Now any type of pass or shot is possible and goals will feel natural and unique. Using the physics-based and data-driven technology, the FIFA Soccer 07 engine creates a wealth of data that gives you the power to make real tactical decisions when managing your players. FIFA Soccer 07 offers never-before-experienced real-time player analysis. Monitor each player’s performance in the game by viewing complete passing, shooting and defending stats. Detailed feedback pinpoints where the player was located on the pitch and his contribution to the match. Now you can make informed decisions during halftime with the aid of this in-depth match analysis, enabling you to locate problem areas in both attack and defense. Check the areas of possession to make subtle adjustments to your play and spot defensive weaknesses in the opposition. All the shots, assists and goals are marked out so you can see who did the most damage. [Electronic Arts] Expand

  1. Everything in this soccer installment -- from the nimble online play (which now supports 2 versus 2 matches via Xbox Live) to the challenging set of achievements -- is well executed. Too bad every annual installment doesn't show this much improvement.
  2. The good news is that FIFA 07 is undoubtedly the best Xbox 360 game in the series to date. The bad news is that, in some ways, it's still inferior to its PlayStation 2 and Xbox counterparts.

With its unmatched visuals, its superior soundtrack, its pleasant presentation and it’s much improved game play, FIFA 07 is a welcome addition to the football genre.
  4. A fantastic start for FIFA 07, but will need some tweaking and perfecting in FIFA 08 to really bring over the doubters.
  5. If you take into account FIFA 06 being the worst title and FIFA World Cup/Pro Evolution being the best FIFA 07 falls somewhere in between.
  6. We would have liked for this year's 360 FIFA 07 to combine all the best parts of its current-gen cousins and its older World Cup brother; rather, we got a good, not great, title that in several ways is outshined by those same games.
  7. All we’ll say is this; Konami can sleep easy for another year.

The reason MLS aren't on it is because who wants to be a MLS side anyway! None of us because their crap! I've played the 360 version and even my pro evo mate who hates fifa said I like fifa now, make sure you have the camera on dynamic 2 for the more pro evo feel, the gameplays better though. Expand

Awesome game but sort of hard to shoot, the aiming control is very sensitive.

This is my favourite soccer game to date, it totally obliterates PES. I love everything about FIFA 07 except for the the fact that the Portuguese League is missing. Collapse

At the end of the day, it's a pretty solid game. New gameplay and a good carrer mode, makes up for a bit lacking game.

This game is underratted. The problem is you have to turn off passing assistance so that the game beomes more free. You can adjust the defensive auto-switch as prefered. Passing is encouraged and it's best to lay off the sprint button unless you're going in a straigth line as it make it harder to control. Game will be low scoring and more realistic. FIFA 07 is now a much better competitor to PES/Winning 11 in terms of gameplay and has awesome visuals and sound. The only negative is limited leagues and stadiums, but all the important ones are there anyway... Expand

FIFA 06 was like 1000x better. Why? Well the AI was better. In 07, your AI sucks, while the opponents AI can grab you and pull you in a circle when you are about to make a shot IN THE PENALTY BOX - and no penalty is called. Even on Amateur the AI can make 10 passes in a row - IN THE AIR - and everyone will be perfect. And - if you're playing on Amateur - and you're facing the 20th place team in the league - you can bet it will be the hardest match of your life. The 20th place team will be the best goalie you've ever faced. Sorry, EA - but you bit the big one on this game. Expand
