Now with added unlockables and online play, Final Fight's simple but satisfying gameplay is as fun as ever. But surely Capcom could have coupled the classic beat 'em up with something better than the lacklustre Magic Sword? [June 2010]
  2. Final Fight Double Impact is an excellent package combining two great arcade classics.
  3. Final Fight: Double Impact offers in a single pack two arcade classics, Final Fight and Magic Sword, originally launched in 1989 and 1990 respectively. The work carried out with the conversions of both titles cannot be compared with Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, although they offer online mode and excellent graphical filters.

To be honest: Magic Sword doesn’t matter, Final Fight is the reason to buy it. That game offers more interesting gameplay and it will remain that way all throughout the game. Unfortunately, there are a few downsides, making Final Fight: Double Impact a decent purchase, but not a wonderful one.

    A relatively cheap distraction. [Issue#59, p.105]
  6. Final Fight: Double Impact is true to the original and full of nostalgic value.

Though these simple action relics aren't for everyone, we applaud the respectful approach taken for this reasonably priced release. [Jun 2010, p.83]
  8. You fight lots of pallet-swapped enemies over and over again, rinse and repeat. Fun to play with a friend and a huge nostalgia rush, but not much to hold your interest for long.

It's challenging but hardly deep. [June 2010, p.85]

Final Fight: Double Impact is fun for those with nostalgic feelings towards the arcade halls. Otherwise this game will feel boring and outdated.

Awesome! A great nostalgic trip down memory lane! I can't believe this "game reviewer" from Game Revolution.... " I don't know why Awesome! A great nostalgic trip down memory lane! I can't believe this "game reviewer" from Game Revolution.... " I don't know why they chose to put Magic Sword along with Final Fight... maybe since it's not very famous? Or because they wanted to make money on a game no one really remembers? Seriously, I've been around and playing for decades and never heard of it before." Really? What backwater place have you been playing video games in for decades that you've never heard of Magic Sword? Are you kidding me? Full Review »
