    It starts to get a bit mind-numbing by around level 20 if you play solo, but when you bring some friends along for the adventure, your evening will quickly disappear in a puff of fun. [Jun 2006, p.61]

    Gauntlet is a blast with friends Xbox Live, just convince at least one friend to get this and you'll have a good laugh.

    Right from the start you're surrounded by creatures that suck away your life. The only way to get ahead is to learn a novel's worth of tricks and memorize the mazy layouts - something only the old-schoolers may have the patience for.

    same original arcade goodness. its fun to play this and then look at more modern dungeon crawlers and see how far this genre has come. Gauntlet still reigns as the best and original, however. the only downfall this game has is the unlimited coin thing. you can infinitely hit the Y button and add on enough health to survive a nuclear fall out. its just not fun when you have 900000+ health.… Expand

    I used to love this game at the arcade when I was a kid, now not so much. It's great fun on LIve, but unless the others are die hard fans, it can be annoying to play with others.… Expand

    An OK game that could be a LOT better. Needs to be updated desperately. I don't know what the characters have done but they've annoyed a lot of baddies - not enough potions, treasure, health, rewards, good things - it seems all bad bad bad.… Expand
