Highly addictive and visually beautiful. Pacificism is a game type that will have you playing at 1am, 'just one more time'. If you don't usually go for XBLA titles then this is a perfect initiation.

One of the most original, groundbreaking, and entertaining arcade games to be released in a good decade or two, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 is powerful and like none other. The high octane, frantic gameplay, the most colorful HD arcade game to ever be released, the incredible soundtrack it brings to the table, there is nothing Geometry Wars does not have and offer. I find myself so addicted to this game as to where I can't physically put the controller down and walk away. This game has it all with little to build on. New modes, HD, new soundtrack, this is all coming from an already successful game on the arcade marketplace. There are few games with the kind of energy Geometry Wars brings and I can't think of one other arcade game that comes close to this one. I will never be able to get enough of Geometry Wars, if your into video games at all this is a game that is a no brainer must have. Expand

6 games in one. When my buddies aren't haloing we are constantly trying to beat each others scores. This game brilliantly decided to put the leaderboards on the game selection screen, constantly pushing you towards number 1.

An inoculation against boredom. A preventative measure against Alzheimers and Parkinsons. The cure for just another brain drain game. Eastern wisdom says the beauty is in the simplicity of the art. This is Zen perfection. If this is Zen then I

A truly worth successor to the original. Since GW2 came out I have found that when I go back to GWRE I find it bland by comparison. Given how great GWRE was, that says a lot about the sequel.

A solid sequel with great new modes thats gonna make you play Geometry Wars 2 for long long hours. The game looks much more beautiful than the first one , with much more colors and explosions. Definitely a must have XBLA title. NO ONLINE mode is the only bad thing about this game.

The expansion of game modes really increases the games re-play value. Co-op is frantic but understandably fun due to two people feeling relief after a difficult run.

This game is the perfect party game, it has more replayability than $60 titles. i would have loved to have upgradeable weapons like in the original, and multiplayer high-scores, but the new game types and multiplayer more than make up for it.

Years on and I still come back to this compelling and highly addictive game. The improvements form the original are vast with multiple modes offering differing challenges. Easy to pick up and impossible to put down sums this game up as you lose hours in a blink of an eye either chasing your friends high scores or your own. This very much is a skill game and once you pick up your tactics your going to go far! Expand

Cannot hope much anymore of a game: Addictive, fun, creative and entertaining. One point down of the game: no online play with friends. This is one of the best title that one can find on XBLA. Go get it, just worth time and money

This is a fantastically fun game. If they add Xbox Live coop, then it would be an absolute masterpiece. Why don't they do that immediately? It would be immensely popular.

  1. I am sure you will fall in love.
  2. Another exceptional addition in a long line of shooters. While it does put a new spin on certain elements the basic principle of play is the same as its predecessors, proving that massive change doesn't always trump simple refinement.
  3. The omission of online play aside, Geometry Wars 2 is everything you hoped it would be. It deftly builds on a simple framework without overloading it, and even finds room to make the core experience more varied and accessible to everyone.
