As a freshman effort in an established franchise Neversoft has done just about everything perfectly. The game feels like Guitar Hero with just enough new spice to make it feel fresh at the same time. The track list is absolutely amazing and the addition of online and co-op career are much welcome additions.
  3. A great addition to the series, Guitar Hero III offers some great new tracks for hardcore fans, while the more responsive controls are great for newcomers.
  4. Neversoft played it pretty safe with Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. It doesn’t break new ground and it didn’t need to. The existing formula has made the franchise a huge success. They did add a local co-op Career Mode, boss battles to the solo Career Mode, and a multiplayer Battle Mode. They also focused on improving the look and feel of the game with tremendous results.
  5. With online play, cooperative career, and a flesh-melting soundtrack, this is the best installment of the series yet.
  6. Guitar Hero III ups the ante with increased difficulty and new modes, and though not everything it adds is fantastic, the excellent tracklist and stellar gameplay are sure to keep you hooked.

In all honesty we're given another Guitar Hero game that despite the inclusion of some wonderful co-op play and horrible new "boss" battles is just another expansion with a list of songs that are neither well balanced nor interesting.

The concept is simple but the game be as challenging as you want to make it. Try playing Dragonforce on Expert and you'll see what I mean. The single player career is well conceived and never boring and ONLINE this game is probably the BEST game on 360!!! You will of course come across lots of players better than you and lose frequently but it's still so much fun. The only letdown is the downloadable song packs are WAY overpriced. £4.25 each in UK is a rip off and the makers should be ashamed of themselves. That said there are plenty of great songs in the game and it will be ages before you learn them all, I still find medium a challenge on most songs and hard and expert can be mind boggling. You MUST BUY THIS GAME. Ps get the guitar controller cos it's much better than playing with a joypad. Expand

I'll stick with GH2, but don't get me wrong GH3 is a very good game, if you want to hear good songs and spend 100 bucks, but is far from being excellent. Expand

The game is awesome and really enjoyable but does get boring after a period of time. Dont play for hours constantly as it makes your eyes go strange and everything seems like its moving. Which to be honest i dont think is a good thing. Expand

This was slightly before the very first ROCK BAND was released and Guitar Hero started copying off all their ideas like crazy, so GUITAR HERO is most original at this point. Expand
