Jan 24, 201280The game's arguably a bit short (though it is $10), and some of the ghost encounters are marred by attack prompts that aren't always recognized. But if you have the patience (and the health reserves) to endure a few irritating battles, you'll find Haunt worth the visit.
-
Feb 3, 201270Ultimately, Haunt for Xbox Live Arcade is a good game for everyone. It is an approachable game that uses Kinect to create an experience to be enjoyed mostly by children, or at least with children. Its only issues are some problems with motion detection.
-
Feb 17, 201280Kids will obviously adore it, but if you've ever enjoyed inching through Disneyland's campy haunted house, you'll be equally at home in Haunt.
-
Feb 9, 201285This is the exact type of game Microsoft should be pushing for the Kinect. If you've got one, it's absolutely worth the 800msp price of admission.
-
Feb 8, 201250Gesture recognition is loose and forgiving, and it makes no attempt to suggest Kinect's genuinely interpreting every movement. Instead, each manoeuvre feels like the empty-handed equivalent of pushing a button – albeit a button that tends to idle a little before it triggers anything.
-
Feb 1, 201265Haunt is a surprisingly solid Kinect spook, which uses the hardware in a clever and accurate way to pilot the player through a haunted mansion. Fights, puzzles and story deliver, although more of everything would be desirable.
-
Feb 1, 201278Haunt is a little nice game for Kinect. For its price, it deserves you and your family's time and attention. We hope you are not shy about walking for some hours in your living room.
-
Jan 30, 201265Haunt is a fun game, dedicated, however, only to a young audience.
-
Jan 25, 201275A lighthearted story and smart Kinect integration make Haunt a captivating all-ages adventure.
-
Jan 23, 201270Family friendly survival horror with a quietly ambitious, and largely successful, attempt to get the most out of Kinect.
-
Jan 23, 201270There's no getting away from the fact that Haunt is a slight experience, but it's also very charming and a game that is carefully crafted to work with both the Kinect controller and its intended young audience. Not a game you'll keep coming back to, but for parents it's still worth the 800 Microsoft Point asking price for the short but sweet entertainment it offers.
-
Jan 21, 201260Haunt has right to exist only as a Kid Game. Colored phantoms and animated armors are the only "scary things" that you could find in the game.

Apr 12, 201270Short on challenge but high on charm. [May 2012, p.71]
-
Mar 14, 201274Simple, spooky fun but a stumble in the right direction for Kinect. [Apr 2012, p.85]
-
Feb 28, 201270Charming and engaging. [Issue#119, p.118]
