As a modern video game, a few things hold it back from being truly great, but as a nod to the days when developers created characters just to have more 'tude than that fat plumber, it's a lot of fun.

Hell Yeah! The wrath of the dead rabbit is a title that strives to be unique, but it does so only in part. The style of the game is definitely catchy, thanks to the irresistible humor and the great audiovisual impact. But if you delete these purely formal aspects, it turns out to be a platform with obvious shortcomings.

With the Island being a disappointment and a humor style that gets stale partway through a playthrough, there's no real reason to go back and play through again.

Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit is as strange as you'd expect it to be from reading the title. Although is offers decent platforming action, it effectively tries to prevent you from having fun with it in every way. Monotonous, illogical design choices and other annoying aspects make this rabbit jump to mediocre heights.

There are many indie 2D platform games to download and Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit competes in a hard area. It has a lot of identity and good colors, but instead some unfinished aspects. Large and humorous, but not very surprising.

Hell Yeah! certainly stands out enough to be very memorable, but it's also wildly inconsistent. The game starts off strong and there are chunks of fun to be had across the campaign, yet some noteworthy annoyances - including lengthy load times - prevent it from gathering momentum and delivering an all-around satisfying and enjoyable platformer. The potential is clearly there, but not quite fulfilled.

The self-effacing jokes reveal Hell Yeah!'s biggest secret: It knows that it could do better. And so do I.

Aesthetics, however, can only carry a game so far, and Hell Yeah! doesn't get far before it slides into drowsiness. It's a solid little platformer in many regards, but those playing need to be aware that they run the risk of growing bored and agitated by the recapitulated ideas and unsavory controls.

While this bunny can be funny, his game is lame, and even its standout segments aren't particularly strong--they just seem that way in comparison to the overall mess. Weak charm and knowing references aside, we can confidently give Hell Yeah a "hell no."

Everyone involved with its creation probably had a swell time putting it together, laughing about all the nods and winks they could cram in, its just a shame more of that exuberance didn't go towards refining the core of the game. The end result is that Hell Yeah is the gaming equivalent of a novelty tie.

You are asked to jump around and shoot at enemies but must use the right trigger the right analouge and the A button all at the same time.... Yes I know thats impossible with human hands. Combine that with cheap AI that can hurt you from off screen whilst being invincible, very poorly placed check points, and unskippable dialouge that you will be forced through mulitple times and this title quickly deteriorates. Arkedo's art work and character design are decent to look at unfortunately the game is not fun to play after a very short time. Full Review »
