Taken individually, each section of Hell Yeah! could be called derivative. Put them all together, and the game as a whole is greater than the sum of its parts. It may lean toward the easy side, but for anyone who grew up during the 16-bit era, Hell Yeah! hits all of the right notes.

If you have even a remote sense of twisted humor, I highly recommend checking out this game. It is definitely the best rabbit, saw blade killing, monster slaying simulation currently available.

Swing as it might between different genres and gameplay styles, Wrath Of The Dead Rabbit never dips below brilliant. An inventive and entertaining big-budget debut for Arkedo, and one that confirms its ability to deliver both on the indie scene and the main stage.

Hell Yeah! may wear its warm immaturity on its sleeve, but its jokes are strong, its protagonist and antagonists likeable and its rhythms satisfying.

The play is definitely aiming to please gamers from the old school, but Hell Yeah! offers a fun ride regardless of how many Mega Men you've conquered.

Hell Yeah!'s cheery approach to slaughter and its goofy riffs on nerd culture make this gorgeously amusing version of Hell worth a visit.

Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit is definitely worth the 15 euros. The story line, side-missions and Achievements/Trophies will keep you busy for a good 15 hours or so. Rabbit Ash might not be very innocent, despite that, he's the crazy awesome superstar of Hell Yeah!

Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit is a game with an undead, badass bunny as its main character. What more could one want? Seriously, the game is really funny and cool. The style is clearly not for anybody, but if you like that weird, bloody bunny the game will be perfect for you.
  9. At around five-plus hours of fun, Hell Yeah! doesn't outstay its welcome. From that first negative reaction to the title, we never expected to be saying this: Hell Yeah! is a fast, smooth and intelligently designed platformer with boundless enthusiasm, a winning imagination and stellar production values.

True, the content available on Xbox Live continues to improve, but even with the spate of excellent titles to hit the service over the last year or two, there are very few as good as Hell Yeah! Wrath Of The Dead Rabbit.

Completely outrageous style? Hell Yeah! Lacking controls? Hell No! A load of bizarre humor? Hell Yeah! Frustrating gameplay? Hell No! Worth a try? Hell Yeah!

Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit sits somewhere between a hardcore classic and a shameless parody, and luckily, I happen to be a fan of both. It's not perfect, but like Vincent Vega once said, "personality goes a long way."

The effervescent and copious presentation, the silly minigames, and the joy of shooting rainbows from a magic octopus to make a blissed-out cloud disappear (for example) make it worth taking Ash's giant wheel for a spin.

Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit has its flaws with its unresponsive controls and repetitiveness. However these small flaws can easily be overlooked when you look at what all Hell Yeah! has to offer with its exquisite graphics, entertaining gameplay, fun music and nonstop humor.

2D experts might not find quite enough challenge with Hell Yeah! and there's not the most replay value to be found here. Still, the game is absolutely great looking and lots highly enjoyable, just because of its overall level of insanity and its funny antics.

Hell Yeah is a rollercoaster ride through Hell. Its super busy art style is exciting and the humour keeps things rolling at a nice pace. [Dec 2012]

They really don't make games like Hell Yeah anymore. It's one of the most random and oddball games I've played. It's one of those games where a bunch of wildly creative developers got together, had a bunch of fun, and made a game without ever asking "why?"

If you know someone whose mantra is: "They don't make games like that anymore," just force them to play it and they'll have been well and truly silenced.

You are asked to jump around and shoot at enemies but must use the right trigger the right analouge and the A button all at the same time.... Yes I know thats impossible with human hands. Combine that with cheap AI that can hurt you from off screen whilst being invincible, very poorly placed check points, and unskippable dialouge that you will be forced through mulitple times and this title quickly deteriorates. Arkedo's art work and character design are decent to look at unfortunately the game is not fun to play after a very short time. Full Review »
