With its breadth of content, incredible amount of collectibles (even if their placement isn't as intuitive as I would like), and the new Assault game modes, this is one of the best Lego games created yet.

An amusing and entertaining game, and a great addition to the series. With the new game modes and game play elements, LSW III is a must have for any fan.

Overall, I really enjoyed LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars. Even if you're not a huge fan of the LEGO titles, it's hard to deny that Traveler's Tales has managed to refine the formula of what makes these games work. Toss in the standard co-op mode, which is always a lot of fun, and you've got a great time-waster on your hands here.

Yet these nitpicks have but barely interfered with the fun I'm having with Lego Star Wars III. With all of the additions, it's the biggest and most enjoyable Lego game yet, and even better, it shows that something good can indeed come out of the awful Star Wars prequel trilogy.

Certainly plenty of fun to play, and the overhauled visuals make it an absolute treat. While some of the puzzles can be borderline obscure, it's not enough to deter both LEGO and Star Wars fans from getting some serious kicks from this game.

A very good game, with great graphics and sound together with the signature LEGO games gameplay.

Even with so much of the gameplay clinging to the formula Traveller's Tales created for its first LEGO game, The Clone Wars offers a vastly different experience that captures the best of both of the LEGO and Star Wars licenses. It's easily the best LEGO game to date.

The game's replayability is arguably the greatest in recent gaming history, with so many reasons to keep going back, from the plethora of things to unlock, to the endless things to smash.

This game is a tremendous leap forward in Lego game development, something that involves the player more than it ever has, even if the basics remain the same. It has replay value galore, and offers multiplayer fun for all ages. Surely, the Force is strong with this one.

One of the best Lego games so far, and the bigger challenge is a nice surprise.

Another great LEGO game set in the Star Wars universe. This time Traveller's Tales brings us in the middle of the Clone War, with new (and old) characters, new quests, new graphics engine, new animations and a new, and surprisingly enjoyable, Conquest Mode.

There's plenty of things to like in LEGO Star Wars III, though some of them might be buried a little too deep for younger players.

There's ambition here that you wouldn't expect from a series on its eighth iteration. While stretching those boundaries has meant that the game loses some of its structural shape, the moment-by-moment experience is as enchanting and engaging as any previous entry.

The best Lego game so far and one that defies both its simplicity and familiarity for an almost effortlessly entertaining co-op experience.

The Clone Wars is no bold new chapter for the evergreen franchise, but give it five minutes and you'll soon succumb. The Force is still strong.

While the visuals still retain that "kiddie-game" feel, the animation is much improved, and the lighting and shading are surprisingly deep for such a younger-geared title. It's a much more vibrant-looking LEGO title, and the animations are on par with the same type of CGI that the TV series itself is animated with.

It's surprising how Telltale, after so many titles, still shows this kind of ambition, adding tons of new content and brand new ideas to the classic gameplay. On the other hand, it's a real shame that every new piece of gameplay doesn't feel as connected and polished as the good old stuff, resulting in a mixed final product.

LEGO Star Wars III lacks new ideas and a well known movie as its base, making this game seem kind of lackluster in comparison to the old LEGO Star Wars games.

It's repetitive, yet quirky fun that's on offer in this latest LEGO Star Wars inspired title. The gameplay can prove rather addictive, and with co-op thrown in, it's perfect entertainment for the family, though the lack of online support certainly proves a hindrance.

When Lego Star Wars III sticks to the basics, it's still a crowd-pleaser. [May 2011, p.76]

The main problem is that even with the replay value in each level, you probably won't really feel like replaying everything again. Unless you're a true completionist, there's not much of a draw to replaying a level that's essentially the same thing as a number of other stages.

This is still a good and entertaining game, with some cool improvements like split-screen and more diverse situations, but maybe it is not as inspiring as previous versions.

The atmosphere is downright adorable, and the use of the license is excellent. Most importantly, though, the various types of gameplay that the developers have thrown together may not be all that amazing on their own, but the elements work together to create a well-paced, easy to understand game that is good fun for anyone.

The new installment of the LEGO Star Wars franchise has turned out to be a good game. Every aspect has been improved but you'll often find yourself lost, not knowing what to do because of the unclear mission objectives.

Traveller's Tales did a good job with the first Lego Star Wars. Since then they've just pressed the "repeat" button with new licenses. It's still good, but lacks new ideas.

A game that sticks to its roots, for better or for worse. It could be entertaining to the max for fans, but probably won't succeed in pulling in a new audience.

Lego Star Wars III should easily be the best the series has to offer. With superior graphics and a decent variety of game styles, it easily overcomes any shortcomings in narrative. Unfortunately, the same problems that have plagued previous Lego games are still on display: difficult to control vehicles, overly simplified combat, unresponsive controls, glitches, drawn out levels, and poor guidance.

It's the best game in the LEGO Star Wars franchise, but it still has some annoying design flaws that affect gameplay.

Lego Star Wars III is just more of the same, with fewer improvements than Lego Harry Potter. But it's still fun, with many things to do, and a great sense of humour, so any Lego or Star Wars lover will have a great time with their beloved characters in this new game.

Never once have these games become so boring they aren't worth playing, but there comes a point where that sense of deja vu is so prominent, you crave change.

The Clone Wars offers an ambitious step up from previous games in the series, but a ton of small issues across the board lead to boredom and frustration.

Lego Star Wars III has some interesting, innovative concepts that sound great on paper, but they ultimately fall apart the moment the game gives you control. What you end up with is one of dullest entries in the entire series.

For every step forward the latest LEGO game takes, it takes another step back. Disappointing, to say the least.
  38. Lego games are still charming but this is too bitty, and too familiar, for our tastes. [June 2011, p.103]

All the staples of the series are back, including the drop-in drop-out co-operative play, and it's these which define the title more than the new features.

Like Traveller's Tales' LEGO saga last episodes, this new LEGO Star Wars isn't surprising but gameplay and rhythm are more mastered. A cool adventure, especially when you have a friend to play with.

It may not banish Lego-fatigue from hardcore gamers, but Lego Star Wars III adds enough polish and variety to make it appealing to budding Jedi of all ages.

It's exciting to see the Lego games attempt to innovate, and some of the battles can be truly epic, but all sense of awe and fun is destroyed by persistent issues across the board, leaving players confused and frustrated. The trademark Lego charm is still just about present but is quickly wearing thin.

Lego Clone Wars nails the Lego look and sense of humor, but completely fails when it comes to evoking the lighthearted fun the series is known for. Surprisingly difficult and repetitious, it seems to be working against the player as hard as it can.

Great game with surprisingly deep mechanics later on. This game is the most responsive on yet in the series when it comes to function and the objectives given to you just beckon out to me like an old adventure game that wanted you to explore and use your head. It's great fun and playing co-op with my little cousin was a blast. TravelersTale makes the best LEGO game yet. Full Review »

More Lego fun with an old-school feel! As fun as this game is, it's much better played in co-op mode. The graphics and lighting are much improved, but the game still retains its old-school charm. Lots of cool new features, too. If you like Lego Star Wars, you will love this latest edition. Full Review »

So far the best Star Wars game out there. The graphics are enhanced and the freedom to go out of the republic ship and blow up bad guys is great. We all love the new lightsaber techniques and being able to command troops on the battlefield as one of the clone captains. The vehicles are endless fun to play in and the level design is perfect. My only problem is when you beat the game all you really can do is replay the levels or fly the ships and try to earn more studs Overall, I highly recommend this game for anyone who loves Star Wars or Lego or even anybody who just wants to have fun! Definitely 9/10. Full Review »
