This Madagascar game is, just as it's predecessors, very adorable. The minigame kind of gameplay is connected through the story of the movie and there's enough variation to keep it interesting. It does get a bit repetitive after one town, and walking goes very slowly, but this game is perfect to play with a child.

If you're likely to be playing without kids, you're not going to be hooked by this loosely connected mini-game compendium and should deduct a point.

The mixture of simple switch puzzles and jump & run is entertaining, but the fun is short lived. Missions, areas, tasks: Everything gets monotonous too soon.

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted is definitely more engaging as a team effort, and we're not ashamed to admit that a couple of the mini games had us giggling with childish glee.

There are so many good games out there that we have to command you to avoid this one. Even in spite of the colorful graphics.

A disappointing game in almost every aspect. Even the most forgiving children won't find it very interesting.
  7. Fun for none of the family, sadly. [Christmas 2012, p.93]

Overall, Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted is a poorly developed video game. Despite having the potential with a great set of characters and interesting storyline, the repetitiveness of the title and the lack of variety make it a tedious game to play, that's only saved by the occasional moment of humour. This is definitely one to avoid.

"Madagascar 3: The Video Game" is a game based on the movie Madagascar 3 and the 3rd in the series of games for Xbox 360. The game, like the others, is primarily oriented toward younger audience... or achievement hunters. The story of the game is up the film's characters, led by Alex, The Lion, fleeing the villain of the movie, the animal control agent DuBois, and they use a traveling circus as a cover, while pass through the European cities of Rome, Pisa, London and Paris.

The game's graphics are equal to the second, reasonably good for the characters, but regular for the rest, with many repetitive animations and textures and a little more simple, yet possess some effects (in the arena stages). The best graphics are better for the stages in the circus and of course ins the CGs in which the stories are being told. The game sounds and music are good for the style, but the repetition of phrases by both the characters and the people on the street comes to be a bit annoying.

The gameplay happens in various missions within the stages in those cities, and you use two of the characters, in a limited environment, and must collect objects to complete the mission, to promote and be able to mount a show. In these missions, each character has a specific power, and a separate specific collectible, which are used to reach the ultimate goal, and involves simple platform sequences in a 3D free environment.Among these stages, there are mini-games, that usually runs in the same environments, where the goal is to get the highest score, picking up items. At the end of one of these two sequences, the circus is mounted and you get to a series of mini-games in the arena, where the goal is to get the highest score. Some of them can be frustrating because of the controls (eg trapezes). The main stages of the game have many collectibles, which can only be caught by specific characters, and the stage scenarios (now in Free-Roam) and the circus mini-games are put on the main screen layout to play separately. About the collectibles are more than 100 for each character, scattered in the scenarios of the main stages. The game has a local multiplayer, which is cooperative (in missions) or competitive (in the arenas). The replay factor of the game is on account of this, to be able to get the collectibles and find the squirrel hidden in each city.

Even though the game is oriented towards younger children, I did not like the final product: it has a general quality graphics and gameplay, both in commands and in actions (you can not run) similar to games from other previous generations (and worst than many of them), and is the worst of the series, there are many games for this public much better on Xbox 360.
