  1. Playing Madden NFL 07 on Xbox 360 is like playing "Madden NFL 2002" with next-gen graphics. The drive falls well short of a touchdown, even now!

Taking manual control of the defensive secondary is a losing proposition. Neither the swat nor intercept moves respond intuitively to the buttons, and the new smoother animations seem to come with the penalty of making it harder to figure out what the right place is to make your move.
  3. The major issue plaguing Madden 07 is this: at it's most basic, there is no fatigue whatsoever. After the excellent implementation of fatigue in "NCAA Football 07," it's a mystery why this fundamental aspect of football is absent from the pro version.
  4. As always, all you're paying for here are some minor updates, a couple of simplistic new modes, and that new season / franchise data. Unless you're an absolute addict, there's no need for this game. If you are an absolute addict, there are better games out there.
  5. There may not be a huge market for Madden over here, but when the sport is made this easy to pick up and play, just about anybody will be able to jump straight in and get their money’s worth.
  6. It's still the same old Madden, emphasis on old. The mini-games are fun, but next time focus on fixing those bugs and giving us some more meat, OK guys?
  7. It's Matt Leinart pretty, but lacks the gameplay polish found on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox.
  8. While the series is definitely far from its prime, it manages to prove once again that EA and Madden know a good game of football, just not a very new one.
  9. As far as this game rates versus my expectations of a football game on the 360, it is a major disappointment. I expected more – online leagues, prior generation features brought to the 360 as well as the eye candy. I only got the eye candy.
  10. If the fatigue bug had been fixed the way EA promised it would be, and the game had the same options that other versions had, I’d give the game the same score I gave last year's version: a 7. As it stands, with the lack of features, the lack of innovation with the game play and the higher price tag; I don’t feel comfortable giving this game anything higher than a 5.

EA is simply not even trying to give us a good game, because of their monopoly and the absence of 2k. Initially I was excited that EA and EA is simply not even trying to give us a good game, because of their monopoly and the absence of 2k. Initially I was excited that EA and ESPN were colaberating to give us the ultimate football game - now I am just pissed off. All EA cares about is sales, and that is obvious by the lack of quality in 07 for the 360. NO FANTASY DRAFT - that is unexcusable. Why not add that one simple feature in, to make the game 10 times more enjoyable? Also, only two players, and you can not play on the same team, you have to play against each other. And the mini games suck compared to xbox training camp, and there is still no owner mode. The gameplay and the graphics are great, but once you get past that it is the same game as madden 06. I actually went out and bought a copy for xbox, and sold my 360 copy - that is how pathetic this game is Full Review »

Good game but I guess I expected more. Do not really play any other mode exept exhibition and the gameplay is slow. The players move fast but Good game but I guess I expected more. Do not really play any other mode exept exhibition and the gameplay is slow. The players move fast but react very slow when you control the player. My opinion I hooked up the PS2 and played Madden and its better than the X-box version. Nothing new practically everything is the same...something new has to come for the price. Full Review »

WOW, Great presentation. I love the cutscenes to the raucus crowd and the animations of the chain gang measuring for first downs and theWOW, Great presentation. I love the cutscenes to the raucus crowd and the animations of the chain gang measuring for first downs and the players celebrating on the sidelines after scoring......oh wait, that was nfl 2k5 TWO YEARS AGO!!!! C'mon EA, you have the NFL and ESPN liscenses, USE THEM!! We don't want that horrendous radio?! anouncer. We don't want static shots of the stadium after plays and first downs. This is the next generation for pete's sake, give us stat overlays and explanations on the replays and halftime shows. Why has presentation taken a back seat? The gameplay is ok but it is just sooooo boring. Do yourself a favor, pick up nfl 2k5 for 5 bucks and see what could have been and what could be if EA got off their butts and made a football game and stopped relying on all the madden fanboys to buy their product every year.
