  1. Pure and addictive fighting gameplay in a digital videogame for a few Microsoft Points. If you want 56 charismatic characters, high resolution, online fun and you're a old school gamer, Marvel VS Capcom 2 should be now on your personal digital games collection.
  2. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is a true classic in the realm of fighting games, and Capcom has put together a faithful, fun port at a reasonable $15 price point, and has included just enough modern features to make you feel satisfied - even if you already own an older copy.
  3. Anyone that loves Marvel, Capcom, fighting games or games in general needs to pick up this game. At around £12 it's much easier than having to dig around bargain bins or eBay to find a Dreamcast copy.
  4. This is a must-own game for fans of Marvel, Capcom, or fighting games in general. I bought it on XBLA, and I plan to buy it again when it drops on PSN in a few weeks, and I'd buy the damn thing again if it ever came to the Wii. It's just that good.
  5. This really is the fighting game evolved to the level of artform, and while mastery can be a long, tough slog, it's also its own reward. There are few fighting games better.
  6. It’s affordable, but also a very rewarding experience when properly explored.

Overall, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is pretty much a picture-perfect port that won't disappoint fans or newcomers to the series.
  8. Although primitive-looking at the surface, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 really delivers everything a fighting fan could want. Buy it and enjoy it, no questions asked.

In my eyes, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is among the best fighting games ever crafted and I'm thrilled to have it on a modern platform. I judge this port--especially the PS3 version--"worthy."

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is as great today as it was nine years ago. Now it’s back in semi-HD and, best of all, they have saved you hours of fun unlocking every character and scene; now you can play as any team you want from the start, online or off.
  11. Capcom’s called it “the best fighting game net code ever created for consoles”. We’re inclined to agree. When all is said and done, if you’re a fighting game fan MvC2 is an essential purchase.

If you enjoy the Street Fighter series, or the Marvel fighting games that Capcom made back in the day then this is one you shouldn't miss.

A fun and frantic fighting game with a huge roster of memorable characters and a lot of charm and personality. The game is only let down by its small number of game modes. Full Review »

Still a classic game, but just doesn't feel right on xbox live. I've been playing it for a while now, and there for me is delay when you execute moves. What was good though is all the characters are unlocked straight away, and for nostalgia it's worth a go. But Street Fighter 2 Hyper Fighting and Soul Calibur are classics that still play like they did last decade, this feels tired. Full Review »

Still the best fighting game ever made. Now I can play over the internet like I have always dreamed of. The best thing on earth that you can buy for 15 dollars in my opinion. Full Review »
