The campaign could be a little longer and as said above more tracks is a must if they make a sequel, but for right now if you do buy this game you’ll walk away knowing that it’s been 800 points well spent.

Overall, Motocross Madness is a game that plays really well but suffers from some cosmetic flaws and an underwhelming soundtrack. Still, the core gameplay is outstanding and well worth the $10 price tag.

With its richly drawn multi-path riding environments, user-friendly physics, and engaging gameplay options, this is a full package of motorcycle racing goodness that rivals many full-priced retail games.

Motocross Madness doesn't score many points on the audio-visual presentation. The game does, however, in the gameplay. And in that case it scores big. Many different game modes with maps that provide you with countless sidetracks and an expansive reward system, are only a few features Motocross Madness has to offer. This game will set you back ten bucks, and we promise you those bucks will be damn well spent.

It has nothing to do with the PC games of old, but this Avatar edition of Motocross Madness is as fun as an arcade racing game can be.

As I said at the start. Motocross Madness is a whole lot of fun. It's not without its problems, and it is a bit rough around the edges, but none of that matters. It's just fun. If you can scrounge up some mates multiplayer is a great laugh too.

So much content has been wrung out of this game that there's even a reward for the number of miles you bail out of jumps. That's right: you get rewarded for not being very good. Basically, if you don't enjoy this game you're probably dead from the waist down.

If you're looking for a fun, light-hearted racer that will give you countless hours of fun, I highly suggest you give Microsoft's arcade-y racer a look.

The "new" Motocross Madness is not... Motocross Madness. This arcade game looks fun and enjoyable whit the use of avatars but probably too easy in a long term. Still worth the (low) price if played with friends online or, better, in local multiplayer.

Overall there is enough fun here to justify a purchase, and besides, its kind of fun to watch your avatar take to the air on a motorcycle pulling off some crazy stunts.

I treated Motocross Madness with reserve but then spent half the night with it enjoying its pleasant driving model and nice visuals but also wishing it had more content. [CD-Action 06/2013, p.75]

An immediate and entertaining game, but too far from the original concept. Something more akin to Joy Ride than the 1998 Motocross Madness.

It’s not a complicated or really in-depth title but it is an incredible amount of fun and something that is great for those 15 (45) minutes that you have spare while the wife or girlfriend is getting ready to go out.

Motocross Madness is an enjoyable feature-packed dirt bike racer with boisterous offline and online components.

You'll ace every event in a handful of hours without much difficulty, and only the truly obsessive will pocket every collectible. But just ten bucks buys at least a few afternoons of enjoyable airborne antics.

Motocross Madness lacks in terms of handling and the track design could be better, but it makes up for all that with fun races, fast progression and over the top tricks that you can easily pull off.

If you’re looking for a motocross games with lots of solo content, this isn’t for you, but if all you want is some simple and dirty mud racing online, Motocross Madness has what you need.

Motocross Madness achieves its aims all in all – it's an enjoyable racer with a range of features put together well that makes for a compelling and sometimes even addictive experience.

Motocross Madness is an unoriginal title, with no ambitions and no flashes. Just comb through the catalog Xbox Live to run into similar products, developed even better.

A cute little avatar-based racing game that provides easy and appealing gameplay. The multiplayer modes are definitely the best aspect of the game, and will provide many more hours of fun than the single player alone. Although the game lacks some polish, Motocross Madness is a fast-paced motocross title that offers a great challenge for casual gamers and replay value for the price.

A motocross game like many others, with a good graphic, a simple and not so rewarding handling but with a multiplayer that is still capable to offer a good amount of fun.

It's just a simple arcade game, far from perfect, long or special, but it delivers what it promises: motocross and madness. And yeah, some fun too.

Master Chief on a bike, racing your ugly avatars? Yep, it works.

The premise is solid, but the addition of avatar-forced game play really threw me off. The handling could have been greatly improved without grinding for hours to buy new parts. Still, at 800 pts ($10) it is difficult not to recommend checking out for those who enjoy the genre.

Motocross Madness is arcade racing that doesn’t really have much in common with earlier Motocross games. Still it is a pleasant experience, but some pesky bugs holds it back from true greatness.
  27. It’s also small and sometimes frustrating, has little personality and no real ambition. There are better ways to kick up some digital dirt.

Enough can be said about Motocross Madness. It's very easy, quite short and hardly polished. Something that's very noticeable when multiple racers are in the frame. The racing itself is pretty decent, so that makes up for a few of the issues, but Motocross Madness can only be described as a simple exercise in futility, and not much more than that.

Unless you’re actively looking for a new generic arcade racer to play, there’s no outstanding reason to give Motorcross Madness a spin.

This game is a mix between PURE, Excitebike (for you old schoolers), and Trials. There is enough leveling up rewards to keep you wanting to play, and all the bikes have a different feel and look. You learn new tricks that are more difficult to pulloff and some are off-the-wall crazy air style like PURE where you tie them together and make your own combinations for bonus rewards. The game tracks your stats so that your friends who have it can see who is better where and try to beat your scores and times. There are multiple games styles from standard races to trick tracks, and I very much enjoy the adventure mode. This mode is not timed and is just a large open area where you have to try and collect all the skulls and coins that are either hidden, or extremely difficult to get to. I am looking forward to leveling my bikes all the way and taking them online to show off my skills against live players and my friends. If you like motocross games, or just racers at that, this game is a sure win! Only complaints are the visuals being a little basic, but it's an arcade title and its great for what it is, and the amount of area's to compete, but there is always the possiblility of downloadable content. Surprisingly excellent cartoony motocross action with a fully integrated online component. Not since Excitebike 64 have I played such a fun motorbike racing game! The avatar support really adds to this fun factor along with the visuals which are simple but pretty and the bike models are varied and solid. The handling is spot-on arcade style stuff with drifts, whips and all manner of crazy mid-air tricks to choose from. It may appear simple and it's easy to get into but there is a hardcore challenge underneath for those that crave it. Track design is top-notch with tons of shortcuts and ramps and although there are only three areas, each are huge and distinctive. Alongside Race, Rivals and Trick modes there is Exploration which stands out with tons of collectables and secret areas. The multiplayer is great and there is split-screen support which is always good for any racing game. Although quite short, the player progression, track design and constant rival challenges provide extra lifespan. Extra tracks via DLC would be ideal. Overall this game shines with quality and care-free gameplay. Full Review »

Found this rather boring. Not really sure what else to say. Its riding dirt bikes around tracks with jumps, ramps and shortcuts and either racing or doing tricks. Good concept but nothing about it grabs me that much. Full Review »
