The gameplay is solid and polished, and every level is fiendishly designed. There's and endless amount of content to conquer. Ms. Splosion Man excels in every way, and it has my absolute approval.
  2. Jul 25, 2011
For what could have been just another jump in a sea of platformers, this game stands out because it has personality. Don't miss this one.
  3. Jul 11, 2011
It's the kind of balls-out platforming design I'll eat by the spoonful, without any of the nagging at the back of my head that I should be beating the rest of my Xbox Live friends' times instead of just having fun...It's punishing, but still so strangely addictive.
  4. Jul 11, 2011
This game is a great value considering everything you get for only $10. A funny and fun title with tons of personality, Twisted Pixel has yet again shown its skill at being able to develop interesting characters and addictive gameplay in downloadable form.
  5. Jul 11, 2011
Stuffed with new mechanics, meticulous level design and what I believe (with some confidence) to be the best ending of all time, Ms. 'Splosion Man excels over its predecessor in every way.
  6. Jul 20, 2011
Overall, Ms. 'Splosion Man is a great old school styled platformer that takes what the first game did great, and makes it even better. With single player being around the twelve to fifteen hour range, and multiplayer weighing in at around the same, it's a great value. And for only 800 MS Points, you can't beat it.
  7. Jul 19, 2011
For every Mario-like overworld map screen and shifting platform puzzle it recycles, it sprinkles in a dash of new-age ingenuity, with fast-paced and complex obstacles, comical scientist slaughter, and laugh-out-loud '90s pop culture references.
  8. Jul 11, 2011
With all of the "just made it" moments scattered throughout the game, Ms. Splosion Man is an easy candidate for "Most Toes Curled" and "Most Butt Cheeks Clenched" awards in 2011.
  9. Jan 10, 2012
If you're a fan of classic platformers, Ms. Splosion Man is going to steal your heart.
  10. Jul 14, 2011
MS. Splosion Man is again full of absurdity, character, and classic platforming bravery. Twisted Pixel creates another truly amazing videogame.
  11. Dec 12, 2011
Priced at a very accessible 800 Microsoft Points anyone who enjoyed Splosion Man needs to pick this title up, and if you haven't played Splosion Man before either buy that one or just buy both, you won't be disappointed if you enjoy tough, yet rewarding titles.

  15. Aug 11, 2011
Ms. Splosion Man is pure fun. The sequel of the awesome Splosion Man is bigger, faster and better. If you're looking for a fun and challenging platform, this is the game for you, both in single player or with your friends.

The challenging and constantly varying level design that keeps on indtroducing new elements is an absolute joy, and given the bargain price, we have no choice but to award Ms. Splosion Man with a well deserved top rating.
  17. Jul 19, 2011
Fans of Splosion Man should purchase without hesitation, while newcomers owe it to themselves to jump, or splode, on in.
  18. Jul 15, 2011
Splosion Man is back again, but this time with a female character that's going to 'change the world'. Twisted Pixel made their best work with this one, a unique masterpiece that won't turn anyone off. Just don't miss it.
  19. Jul 12, 2011
One area Twisted Pixel always excels is writing and humor. Their games are genuinely funny, and Ms. Splosion Man continues that trend, even if it does rely too much on female stereotypes.

A veritable clinic on how to enhance your game for a follow-up. Most of Splosion Man's niggling issues have been replaced with a dizzying grab bag of interesting and compelling design choices. Well done, guys.
  21. Jul 11, 2011
Another excellent, thrilling platformer from the insane team at Twisted Pixel. This one is a little harder than the first, so be warned that you are in for a serious challenge. But there is more creativity packed into one Ms Splosion Man level than many other games can muster in their entirety.
  22. Jul 11, 2011
With Ms. Splosion Man Twisted Pixel took a formula that already worked and simply added more craziness.
  23. Jul 13, 2011
The sound is exquisite. Along with an inspired soundtrack featuring several original ditties (complete with vocals straight out of the 80's), the game also has terrific voicework for Ms. Splosion Man, who utters everything from Valley Girl talk to Madonna to current lines by Lady Gaga.
  24. Jul 25, 2011
Just like the original game, Ms. 'Splosion Man is well worth not only your time, but also your money.
  25. Jul 21, 2011
Ms. Splosion Man is a fantastic sequel of the original game, with some great improvements particulary on the level design. Keep in mind that this is a hardcore, frustrating and hard game; but the reward is well worth the price.
  26. Jul 13, 2011
Though the silly humor and high challenge curve could scare some players off, everyone should try one of the best downloadable games this year.
  27. Jul 12, 2011
Though the format is identical to the original 'Splosion Man, the new protagonist's sassy attitude goes a long way in making the experience feel fresh again.
  28. Nov 1, 2011
Ms. 'Splosion Man's gameplay provides a manic, engrossing, and dizzying experience. But its feel and its humour add so much more.
  29. Sep 30, 2011

  30. Jul 13, 2011
Thrilling level design makes Ms. 'Splosion Man an explosively fun platformer.
  31. Jul 13, 2011
Some players may get frustrated with the level of trial and error, but if you're up to the challenge, Ms. Splosion Man is a satisfying pursuit of timing and control with an ending that's well worth the effort.
  32. Jul 11, 2011
The basic gameplay is untouched, but you get new levels, new enemies and new obstacles. Ms. Splosion Man features all the same fun and exciting gameplay as the original game, but it also adds in a fair amount of new things. It still has rough edges, but if you liked the original Splosion Man, there's more of the same here to enjoy.
  33. Aug 9, 2011
While the sometimes automatic nature of Ms. Splosion Man is enough to make me turn it off for a few minutes every session or two of playing, the rest of the game just screams "I'm too hard and you better quit"... and I'm the sort of player who digs a challenge.
  34. Oct 2, 2011
Ms. Splosion Man is frequently good with equal parts brilliance and frustration. Sometimes you might get the feeling that the folks at Twisted Pixel had so much fun making their game they sort of forgot we common folk would wind up playing it, but it's hard to fault ambition.

A deceptively hardcore and thigh-slappingly funny platformer with secrets and challenges galore. [Nov 2011, p.111]
  36. Jul 19, 2011
Ms. Splosion Man is worth its 800 microsoft points provided the gamer playing has a lot of patience to make it through the more difficult levels in the game.
  37. Oct 13, 2011
Played properly though, Ms 'Splosion Man is a game for platforming purists. If you enjoyed the original or find titles like Ninja Gaiden a cakewalk, you'll find just what you're looking for here, namely a worthy sequel packed to the rafters with content and a more-than-decent test of your skills. As for everyone else, approach with caution: there is fun to be had with Ms 'Splosion Man, and when the game is good it's very good, but just when you start to smile and enjoy yourself, things might splode all up in your face.

Defeated levels give you points to use in the mall, a shop for unlocking everything from concept art to an exclusive theme of the game. Did you succeed in acquiring the hidden pair of shoes? More points to spend!

Whether you've played 'Splosion Man, or you are new to 'sploding, Ms.'Splosion Man is a lot of fun, and when you combine that with all of the other great things you can do it makes it a pretty amazing deal. Priced at just 800 MS points, I would say this game is a definite must have and a great addition to any gamers collection.
  42. Aug 25, 2011
Ms Splosion Man is willing to innovate and improve some structures of Splosion Man. It continues to offer the same level of adrenaline and this is good news for fans of the original.

  44. Aug 18, 2011
It's almost impossible not to have fun with Ms. Splosion Man, but also to get furious when the extreme difficulty punishes you like never before. But still, a must buy for arcade fans.
  45. Aug 4, 2011
Ms. Splosion Man is the predecessor on drugs. While higher-faster-further does certainly have an appeal Twisted Pixel causes hallucinations that are less of a walk on a field of flowers and more of a dance on a volcano. This is a game that will drive impatient gamers crazy but will be loved by perfectionists.

  47. Jul 29, 2011
From the first moment to the last (and the final boss fight really has to be seen to be believed) Ms. Splosion Man urges you to succeed by dangling forthcoming treasures in front of your nose, while at the same time trying to kick your legs out from under you. It's a vicious mistress, but one with rich rewards.
  48. Jul 21, 2011
This game is really a nice platformer that you can get for a low price. The puzzles are difficult and therefore challenging but there's plenty of humor to relieve the tension. However you have to like all of the chaos and speed to fully enjoy this game.
  49. Jul 19, 2011
It is not as surprising as the first game, but it is again a fun, complete and well made arcade game that becomes one of the best Arcade titles of the year.
  50. Jul 15, 2011
Ms. Splosion Man might not have the same immediacy and freshness of her orange-hued male counterpart, but with more variety and intelligence in the level design she's definitely more fun to play with.
  51. Jul 15, 2011
Ms Splosion is a very solid sequel that delivers great fun on the same basis as its predecessor. It's crazy, over the top and just as harshly difficult as Splosion Man, and then some.
  52. Jul 13, 2011
Even if it can intermittently be too clever for its own good, it's still a great throwback to the old-school platforming, and expertly builds on the original.
  53. Jul 18, 2011
The formula of play still holds much appeal, and there's a lot of game on tap for the now-lower-than-average price of 800 Microsoft points. Ms. 'Splosion Man may not be a perfect sequel, but it has little trouble justifying a return trip to the lab that spawned 'sploding in the first place. R

One analog stick and four buttons that do the same thing. Sounds like a recipe for a really simple game. The original Splosion man provedOne analog stick and four buttons that do the same thing. Sounds like a recipe for a really simple game. The original Splosion man proved that wrong. Ms. Splosion man takes the formula and builds on it in every way. Still all you do is splode, but the levels are remarkably more complex. The one complaint that some might have is that the game requires you to complete a sequence of moves throughout levels without any warning- ie. you'll land on a platform only to be crushed by spikes a second later because you didn't know to immediately jump when you landed there. YOU WILL DIE PLAYING THIS GAME, and probably a lot. The difficulty is much higher than the original. That said, there are not any games anywhere near similar to this game (except for its predecessor). A well written dialogue also makes Ms. Splosion man worth playing just to hear what she'll say next (she's a mixture of a ditsy high schooler and someone who quotes romance movies- its quite funny). My one recommendation is to play Splosion Man first- it'll be a nice warmup for this game. That said, this game is gold from Twisted Pixel. 10/10. Full Review »
