It has some issues, but above all, it's very fun and entertaining, specially playing with a friend. Recommended for those who miss the old arcades where you could kill hundreds of guys with a couple of buttons.

Ultimately, how much you like Narco Terror will be down to a few key factors: how sophisticated your taste in games really is, what decade you grew up in, and whether you would rather sit down in front of a Dolph Lundgren movie or a highbrow talkie indie movie fresh off the critics’ hot-list at the Sundance Festival.

Narco Terror evokes the fun arcade glory of the eighties, although the result is a rather crude and not always balanced.

Narco Terror is an honest twin stick shooter that will make the happiness of those who will give him a chance, well aware of the compromises that will have to come down.

Narco Terror manages to bring us back to the Rambo arcade game with a good longevity and technical production, but its repetitive nature and the shoddy story and main character keep it from really shining.

A simple “twin stick” shooter like many others. With a very poor level design and no particular creative twists, Narco Terror sounds like a game from the '80s but without the grit that kept us glued to the screen in the past.

Narco Terror is a surprisingly enjoyable old-school arcade romp; it offers some of the greatest fun I've had on XBLA this year; and is one of the silliest games you'll ever play. But once the high wears off, you'll be left craving for a dose of something a little more substantial.

Playing with keyboard (as I did) is, at some point, quite awkward and chaotic. Dialogues and the storyline in general is more or less cheesyPlaying with keyboard (as I did) is, at some point, quite awkward and chaotic. Dialogues and the storyline in general is more or less cheesy (not to say that it's inappropriate for such game more like, simply cheesy in a "lame way", not "classy cool way"). Graphics is no concern for me, but cut-scenes and some animations could have been made better and smoother.

Anyway, it would be a great thing to pay for and play, if only missions would be much more, enemy and weapon variety much wider and someone actually being on-line to play co-op with. Biggest letdown at this point is price about 10 Euros for less than 3 hour entertainment of which about 1 hour is spent on quite annoying "trial & error" methods solving so to say "problems" at some harder parts of the game.
