  • Publisher: Ubisoft
  • Release Date: Nov 18, 2008
  • Summary: Building on "Naruto: Rise of a Ninja," this sequel features Naruto, who has now evolved into a well-respected Ninja, but his new status and abilities trigger the envy of his best friend and Ninja teammate, Sasuke. The enemy of the village, Orochimaru, takes advantage of the situation and convinces Sasuke to leave his friends and his village in order to join his evil clan and become more powerful. With the help of his Ninja friends, Naruto goes on a quest to retrieve Sasuke and save him. Naruto: The Broken Bond is also the only Naruto video game, other than "Rise of a Ninja" that features an online multiplayer mode which allows players to compete against others in an online tournament mode. 2. Negative: 0 out of 34
  1. As with all great sequels, Broken Bond deals with darker story elements than its predecessor and becomes a more jaw dropping spectacle as a result.
  2. Naruto: The Broken Bond is a really fun game to play, the adventure mode does get a little tedious at points but the fighting and graphics really make up for it. Fans of the show are going to love this game.
  3. Nevertheless, Naruto: The Broken Bond certainly has plenty for the anime enthusiast. The game flows smoothly, and everything in it feels just like it does in the cartoon. The only problem with this is that the game sometimes sacrifices its gameplay to deliver this very authenticity, and you might find yourself wondering why you shouldn't just go and watch the anime instead.

This is one of the best games I’ve played this year. And it’s THE best animated style game I’ve ever played. Of all of the features in this game, tag team battles is easily my favorite. Different members of the Naruto story can help you in your fights and help you along the way on your adventures. As a long time Naruto fan in all of it’s forms (comics, animated show, games) I appreciate this feature. It’s fun to fight alongside with some of the characters I’ve grown to love in this long revered series. Expand

Looks pretty but ultimately the overusing of quicktime events, same environments and repetitive questing for the majority of the game make this more of a chore than a fun experience. Combat feels shallow and clunky, but the Jutsu controls are fun. Expand
