This game boasts the most brilliant animations ever in a hoops sim. The impressive gameplay remains intact and the presentation has been improved. Not quite perfect...but placed in a head-to-head with 'Live'? '2K7' blows out EA's disaster.

What sets apart basketball from other sports is the individualism and personalities of the players. there are no helmets or padding to hide who they really are. for the first time since basketball video games became popular do you really feel a sense of this. teams play like how you watch them on tv. Stars take over games like they should. They celebrate and have mannerisms exactly like their real life counter part. and the complaining! complaints are the number one thing that happen after every whistle call - and again, all in the game. I agree, some player models aren't as crisp as they should be, but gameplay over graphics any day, that's what I always say.… Expand

Yo dawg i thought this game was pretty good but the referees make too many bad calls and the players throw bad passes. online is good though.

This game is a good basketball simulation.The 24-7 mode is terrible compared to 2k6.There is a lot of things though that will get you aggravated with this game that will just make you stop playing.I will say that 2k6 is a much better game and there is no reason to get this one if you have it.I rated 2k6 much higher than this cause its a better game all around.I give this game a 7.6.

2K7 Gameplay and AI are without a question way better than NBA Live 07, but overall the game is not worth over 90. 2K7 has its fair share of bugs and repetitiveness that would lose them many metacritic points. 1) Speech sounds repetitive and buggy, the announcers sounded like they read off scripts. Simply compare Kenny Smith on NBA Live with 2K7 2) Players and the ball occasionally teleport. Players sometimes play with a torn jersey (hence topless) or shorts. 3) Every game has the Gatorade segment in first and third quarters. The list goes on and on. 90 - 100 is near perfection and 2K7 is still a little ways to get there, but at least on better track than NBA Live.… Expand

This game is so awesome not to mention it graphics, shot stick & gamemode features like streetball & others but I'll get back to U on that I have to play the game first.

1. Gameplay a lot better then EA's live 07 2. Great new animations in 2k7 3. Unfortunatly not alot more then that basicaly its 2k6 few tweaks in graphics but all the same ai an glitches an exploits of 2k6 such a shame seems the trend for 2ksports with there 2k7 range same applies to nhl2k7 updated floor texture an a hand full of new animations don't justify another full price purchase.

The graphics of Steve Nash looked like a PS1 game. What's up with the DOF stuff.

Most Fun, most Realistic, baskeball game ever. Isomotion is a blast this year and the signature jumps shots make playing with your favorite player just that much more fun.

This game is absolutely horrendous. My friend EASILY made 5 straight free throws with Ben Wallace and then made a shot from behind the free throw line - on all star - the first time he played it. Realistic? The ball hadling is rudimentary at best. It is also impossible to pass decently while running. PLEASE do not waste your money on this. No glitches were changed, no AI flaws fixed. UTTER CRAP.

2K7 is the king. Live 07 is a great game.................for me to POOP on!

1. Gameplay - Much better than EA's offering, seems pretty realistic. 2. Graphics - What is up with the player models?!? Horrible! Good thing the gameplay is good. 3. Presentation - Pretty good, just slightly below NBA Live 2007, but not bad. Conclusion - Best bball game on the 360. They could have made the player models much better, strange how bad they look. This game is serious stuff! Best gameplay for a sports game that I have ever been privileged to play on. New animations are good but could be better, but the main thing is it it kicks NBA Live 07's a** like Shaq would kick Kobe's!

To all who gave 2K7 a score of 90 or above, especially those with 100... Did you actually put the disc into the machine, pick up the controller, or open your eyes and ears to play it to give near perfect scores? You have every right to hate EA, but to give perfect scores for NBA 2K7 is absurd. 2K7 may play better than NBA Live but it has its fair share of bugs and design issues: 1) Audio - speech is just as repetitive as NBA Live. How many times in a game do I have to hear Kenny Smith say it's man to man half court defense? Other announcers also sounded like they're reading off scripts rather than speaking naturally, compare that to NBA Live. Announcer talk about the wrong player for shot attempts... 2) Players slide and ball popping in certain animations... 3) Players can play with torn jersey (hence topless) and shorts... The best basketball game of all time and I have pretty much played them all since EAs Bulls vs Blazers on the Sega Megadrive (Genesis). The only things that annoyed me and hence prevented me giving this game a 10, is the crappy menu interface, the ends of players shorts sometimes getting caught in their waist, too many steals and too few blocks. The gameplay is so good though that these minor annoyances don't prevent it from being the best b'ball game out there. If you're looking for an NBA game, get this and avoid NBA Live 07 on XBOX 360 at all costs!… Expand
