  1. Absolutely towering over the likes of NBA Live and all of the other pretenders to the throne, NBA 2k7 is an incredibly solid game that looks, sounds and plays as smoothly as you could ever wish it to – and goodness, its addictive.
  2. The most complete NBA basketball game made to date.
  3. It is one of the best sporting simulations ever made and is easily the best basketball game to hit a console.
  4. The joke with basketball is that you only have to tune in and watch during the last five minutes in order to see who wins. Seeing how there's a lot that's similiar between this year and last year's games, you could do that, but then you'd miss some of the small differencies in place. [Nov. 2006, p.137]
  5. If you're after a basketball game for the Santa stocking though, NBA 2K7 is by far the best choice this year.
  6. The heart and soul of NBA 2K7 lies in the NBA buildings across the country and the hands of the best players in the world. This year, there's no finer hoops experience to be had on the 360.
  7. NBA 2K7 doesn't have the looks, but its solid on-court action puts you at the heart of the match rather than on the sidelines, with quick-fire tactics that you'd expect to see on ESPN. [Dec 2006, p.88]

It will always be the best & realistic.

It is once again the most solid, realistic, and kick-butt hoops game on the market. Really, the only debate is which version to get. If money's no object, pick it up on 360; it's easily the cream of the crop. Expand

To all who gave 2K7 a score of 90 or above, especially those with 100...

Did you actually put the disc into the machine, pick up the
controller, or open your eyes and ears to play it to give near perfect scores?

You have every right to hate EA, but to give perfect scores for NBA 2K7 is absurd. 2K7 may play better than NBA Live but it has its fair share of bugs and design issues:

    1) Audio - speech is just as repetitive as NBA Live. How many times in a game do I have to hear Kenny Smith say it's man to man half court defense? Other announcers also sounded like they're reading off scripts rather than speaking naturally, compare that to NBA Live. Announcer talk about the wrong player for shot attempts...

    2) Players slide and ball popping in certain animations...

    3) Players can play with torn jersey (hence topless) and shorts...

The list goes on and on...
