• Summary: Hundreds of new skating animations have been captured for NHL 2K7. Not only will skating look much more natural, players will also experience the true momentum of skating whenever players dig into the ice to accelerate or carve the ice to make sudden stops. In addition to the numerous new skating animations, several new checking, passing, and shooting animations have been added, making all the action in NHL 2K7 flow with amazing detail. New gameplay enhancements have been added to Pro Control, giving users offensive and defensive tools to utilize on the ice. While on offense, players now have the ability to execute drop passes, allowing users to setup new screen plays and create new scoring opportunities to catch the goalie off-guard. Pressure Control brings a tactical element to defensive hockey as players now can instruct teammates to defend opposing players while on the ice. Varying degrees of pressure can be selected - whether it's telling your teammate to shadow a selected opponent or deliver a big check - allowing players new defensive options on the fly. Pro Control in NHL 2K7 delivers the offensive and defensive options hockey fans have been asking for, truly delivering the next generation of hockey. [2K Sports] Expand

  1. The best sports title on Xbox 360 so far. It's exciting when a company actually uses the year in development to bring us a year's worth of progress.
  2. It's a huge, solid package all wrapped up in a slick presentation with enough added features to make it a big step ahead of "2K6."
  3. 2K Sports insistence on cramming new features in every instalment of this long-running series is admirable, but hopefully next time they will focus on tweaking what they currently have and making the offensive side of the game more fun.

Games in 2k7 are usually all very similar. At higher difficulty levels, the CPU player is not actually better, he can just do more than you can. On the hardest level, his goalie becomes an unstoppable machine. Also, the achievements are unfair. It sucks to work towards something for days, and then unfairly not get the achievement. This is a glitch and some achievements are unattainable. Expand

So when is the finished product coming out? Glad I rented the game first. The ice looks great. Skating is good. Everything else screams budget title. Gave it a 2 for the ice and slight graphics improvement. Some players look more Gears of War than like NHL players. Expand
