  • Summary: From the collaboration between famed game developer Tetsuya Mizuguchi of Q Entertainment and director SangYoun Lee of leading Korean developer Phantagram comes the Xbox 360-exclusive Ninety-Nine Nights. The title is a fantasy action game for Xbox 360 that allows players to experience an immersive and emotional story though the eyes of good and evil while they fight among hundreds of fellow soldiers through an epic adventure of fantasy and action. 1. If this is a genre you like or have been tempted to try out, N3 is a fantastic addition.
  2. Ninety-Nine Nights may be the best that the genre has to offer, but it also shows us that this style of game still has a long way to go. [Sept. 2006, p.96]

It just turns out to be an object example of how even the prettiest eye candy can't mask flawed mechanics for long, and how gameplay that aims for greatness can stumble and wind up slumming it in Mediocre Town.
  4. 60
The addition of perspective and emotional content comes out of left field, but is amazingly well done. It’s the rare button masher that can play on a person’s sympathies, and Nights proves it has both heart and brains to go with its mindless exterior.
  5. Most players will become annoyed and tired of the insulting gameplay and half-hearted design and put the game down for good after the first night of playing it.
  6. Disappointing. Everything about this title feels like it needs more work, from the cut-scenes to the broken A.I. of your allies.
  7. It is never made clear what the title “Ninety-Nine Nights” means. My guess is that it’s the suggested waiting period before purchasing this dangerous, infuriating, broken game.

A fun little game where you slaughter hundreds of soldiers with one fatal sword swing. Get's a bet boring doing it over and over, but it was still enjoyable. Expand

A pretty, but rather bland, slasher that tries too hard to be Dynasty Warriors. There really isn't anything wrong with this game, but there isn't really anything right either. Combat is a bit fun at first, but get terribly repetitive after a while. For an early Xbox 360 title, it is visually impressive, at least when it came out.

A rather generic Dynasty style third person slasher that is fun for a little while, but after a weekend of playing, you'll be through with it.

This game is just plain bad! I hated it so much I had to finish it as some sort of penance for buying it in the first place.

This is one of the worst games that I have ever played. Horrible voice acting? Check. Glitches? Check. Completely unfair boss fights with an even worse save system? Check. They can't even take the time to make the horrible voice acting match up with the mouths moving! I am so glad that I payed $5 for this putrid piece of trash but now I am starting to think THAT was wasting money. I probably will never play this game again, not even for the achievements. This game is horrible. Expand
