  • Summary: In the fantastic world of Pid, the player's unique and eccentric journey unfolds as the young protagonist is stranded on a remote planet. Players hone their gaming abilities through creative approaches to gravity-bending action, intricate puzzle-solving and classic precision platform action, overcoming larger-than-life obstacles and truly original enemies and characters. Throughout the course of the adventure, players will be challenged to outwit a variety of quirky robots and befriend unlikely allies on their quest to face-off against a ruler that has no intention of letting anyone leave the planet. Pid is not only fun and challenging, but nice to look at as well. It's one of those games that needs to be experienced first hand as screenshots and video will not do it justice. If you are still on the fence, I recommend trying out the demo as always to see if it's a good fit for you.

With Kurt's character design, the smoothness in his movements, and the challenges he faces, I couldn't help but compare Pid to the award-winning Limbo. That said, Pid's exceedingly inviting visual style is a marked contrast to the overbearing sense of dread and isolation in Playdead's 2010 platformer.

This game not only challenges you to think outside the box but to have the endurance to continue thinking that way until the level is over and the boss is beaten.

Kurt's trials partly arise from the traditional platforming challenge, of course, but trimming the more repetitive sequences and draining the bosses' health would have edged this effort toward the greatness enjoyed by some of its contemporary cousins.

A smart and, at some times, very challenging puzzle platformer with neat-looking visuals and good music. Still, it's not very memorable in the long run.

More work on the game's controls and play balance, and maybe perhaps even shortening the length a bit, would have gone a long way towards making Pid a more enjoyable experience.

That butler is what I most clearly remember about Pid. In time (maybe just in a matter of weeks) it's probably all I'll remember about Pid. I'll see him flying around, crushing my spirit time and again, and cleaning up those broken pieces of glass. Too bad he can't pick up the pieces of this once promising game.

Is Pid a good game yes but it has issues and is not for everyone the graphics are awesome and the design is quirky and cute however the game looses it's charm about near the Crook boss and by the way the bosses suck but I will talk about that later anyways Pid is mostly a atmospheric platformer and the main mechanic is the gravity wells and it is a cleaver concept but it isn't used to it's full potential but it is still fun and the story is cool but slows down halfway which is the problem the story feels dragged on and it started getting dragged still fun just not memorable and the music is amazing! but the bosses just plain suck the waiter boss is okay but the crook, Granny and Prince just are terrible and luck based but even with those issues I would at least look at this game.
