  • Summary: At World's End video games from Disney Interactive Studios invite players to "live and die by the sword" as they venture to the worlds of the films and beyond while playing as Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann. [Disney Interactive Studios]

  1. Whether you are on land, sea, or the white sands of Davy Jones Locker, there isn’t a more swashbuckling time to be had and Jack Sparrow is the quintessential pirate hero.
  2. There are a lot of games out there that will be much better received and demonstrate sounder core design, yet those games in the end didn't entertain me like this one. [June 2007, p.78]
  3. I'd even go out on a limb that it's probably one of the best movie to game renditions I've ever played (although that's not saying a whole lot), and it would be perfect for the youngsters.
  4. It’s a shame that it’s so boring to play that putting up with the game just for its presentation seems like walkin’ the plank because you wants to get to heaven.
  5. It is perhaps the very definition of mediocre. Combat is repetitive and boring, but not particularly flawed in any way, except perhaps for the weak AI.

Combat can be repetitive and duels are boring. The game can be a lot of fun, the game just isn't as enjoyable as we'd hoped.
  7. The combat's inexcusably awful. The duelling is absolutely mind-numbingly uninspired. The platforming and exploration feel tacked-on, overly basic and adds little variety, and the fetch quests plumb new depths in their tedious pointlessness...One of the most dreadfully vacuous and uninspired movie tie-ins in recent memory.

Beautiful scenery, character models and fluid movement. Some interesting puzzles, and entertaining if not repetitive swordfighting system. The only way the game could have been better is if they fixed the swordfighting system and mixed up the possible moves, otherwise the game is incredibly entertaining and beautiful to move through. This game is good. Yes, it's Disney and made for a younger crowd, so the combat system is simplistic, but fun. Graphics are amazing! Levels are great b/c you can play thru Dead Man's Chest AND World's End. If you are looking for a family fun game, this is GREAT! If you are looking for innovative FPS with blood, this game is not for you. Expand

It's a decent game. Bear in mind that the game is designed for the younger and more casual gaming audience and the more hardcore gamers will find it boring. I myself can't see me playing the game too much, but the better half seems to enjoy it a lot. The game looks nice, sounds nice and plays nice. The simplistic gameplay makes it appealing and the casual gamer won't have to curse the heavens for 15 button combos and super intelligent AI. A well built game alltogether. Expand

If you like the films then rent this game because it has so many flaws it would be a waste of money buying it.

Avoid at all costs!! Bad for you, your family and your future lives! You'll find yourself hammering the screen with your controller swearing words you don't even know what they mean. Pain, neverending pain! Expand
