Well constructed, fun to play. Slightly miffed that a coop mode was advertised, but I can't seem to find it. Others tell me it doesn't actually exist. If that got fixed, I'd give it a 9, but for now, a 7.

While it attempts to provide an accessible strategic space challenge, Planets Under Attack is sucked into a black hole instead. [Issue#93, p.86]

Because of its smooth strategic flow, Planets under Attack is one of the best couch strategy games since Risk Factions. But since Planets under Attack is always and only real-time, it's arguably an even better couch game.

It's different, it's solidly built on a smaller scale, and it delivers an easy-to-grasp, focused concept. It also earns praise for being a streamlined and problem-free RTS without falling into the pitfalls that have doomed so many others before it. That in itself is no mean feat, and Targem Games makes it look easy.
