If you want realism, go play FIFA or PES, that isn't changing. Pure Futbol shows no interest in competing with these juggernauts. Pure Futbol is an over the top, approachable soccer game. The graphics and gameplay are cartoonish, and most importantly fun! The gameplay is probably closest to Midway's Redcard, but it retains some semblance of a soccer game. The only complaint I have is that the controls could be a bit tighter. I would have to agree with the underrated comment above, this game definitely deserves a better score.
8.5/10 Would play again!
The most underrated video game I know after playing and reading about 500 games in my life. This is a fun football game with lots of amazing venues and cartoon style graphics. Yes it does not have freestyle moves but it is the only con about this game, if you can't play it well, then try turning the fouls off or try an easier difficulty level. Hell, no game in the world will let you bend the ball like Captain Tsubasa Ozora except this one:D
Pure Futbol is a mess of a soccer game. Its cover claims that an authentic experience awaits, but what\'s actually in store for players who pick up this game is far from the real deal.
Sad football arcade fails in all aspects – delayed controls, weird ball physics, flat graphics – the result is boredom and an odd parody of football. [July 2010]
A bad game with awful graphics, repetitive sounds and a control system that doesn\'t match this gen gaming standards. A game that soccer lovers must avoid at all costs.
With the budget this game had and the established competition it was going up against, it seems Pure Football was doomed to fail. But beneath the cheap box artwork and limited licenses, there is a soccer game that is fun and one of a kind.
First of graphically the game is passable, player likenesses are a bit cartoon like and there is nothing exceptional about the locals you visit, but the presentation is surprisingly good, score a goal and see flags and player names fly past the screen, win a match and see your team run towards the camera celebrating their victory. A lot more work went into this than you would think.
The biggest international teams on the planet are in the game, but if your looking for a small soccer nation you will be out of luck as only the top teams made the cut in this game. The career is a lot of fun, racking up players as you beat them and adding them to your super team, standard stuff that has been in other games, but still fun.
Where the game gets really good is the game play, it's unlike anything to date, with a little practice, lobbing, passing and shooting can be expertly pulled off as the game slows down and lets you time your button press when the meter fills up a certain length. Get good enough at it, and you will be in the zone. It's never been done in any other football game and it is a cool mechanic.
Don't pass this game because of it's budget looks, If you enjoy your PES, FIFA or FIFA Street, Pure Football can also hang on the pitch.
Pure Football is a good game when simplified, but looking deeper than the fun gameplay for 1-4 players on one system,it's mediocre at **** easy as you can constantly Pure shot and score.
Um dos piores jogos da história do entretenimento digital. A Ubisoft deveria pensar melhor antes de tentar criar um game de futebol. Espero que sirva de lição!!
