The game is cute, well designed, well implemented and just the thing to show off your big brain to all of your friends.

One of the best smartphone games of last year gets the multiplayer mode it's always needed, in this superb mix of Risk and Scrabble.

All I know is that the world would probably be a better place if we all treated words with the same reverence Quarrel does.

Quarrel is the prefect combination of Risk and Scrabble. You can pick it up whenever you want and still be able to kick some lexical buttocks. The only problem us Dutch gamers have, is that the game is only playable in English. A problem we're willing to overlook for mere 400 Microsoft Points.

All of this amusement with words is priced at a smashing 400 Microsoft Points, a bargain when there has been a noticeable increase of prices recently on XBLA. It's quite hard not to recommend the title, and I can only see people who really loathe games that require a good use of vocabulary hating it. For everyone else, this gaming dictionary is worth your time and you might even learn a few new words during your play – who says learning can't be fun?

An interesting puzzle, half way between Scrabble and Risiko.

Quarrel is a bright idea hamstrung by a series of unfortunate design flaws, lack of offline multiplayer, balancing issues, and a desperate need to remain inoffensive.

Best word game ever made, in my opinion. Turn-based strategy meets competitive word battles, and this version has HD graphics and multiplayer for $4.99 on XBLA! What's not to love? Expand

Highly addictive and intelligent game. Great to play as a break between Battlefield and Skyrim for sure...and for 400 points, you can't beat it. Great value for the money...recommended! Expand

A very nice XBLA game, a mixture between Scramble and Risk: you take turns, with the AI or your Friends (local and online multiplayer), in a determined scenario, where each one of you has territories, and the amount of "soldiers" in the disputed territory, determines how many letters you can use to form a word, the winner is the one who spells the highest points, and with this beat the enemies soldiers. Well, to resume: it's Risk with words in the place of numbers... very fun indeed! My score: 9,0 / 10, 0 . Expand
