Oct 10, 201188In the end, Resident Evil 4 HD brings back one of the greatest games of the last generation and brings it back with style. While the graphical improvements could have been better, the game itself still plays and looks better than ever. And even with a slightly high £15.99/$19.99 price tag, it's a game that previous fans will be happy to re-visit and new players will be happy to experience.

Sep 20, 201195The updated visuals aren't mind-blowing, but they present the best way to return to this already stellar game. If you somehow missed out on Resident Evil 4 when it turned heads on the GameCube, this is the perfect time to give it a download and see what all the fuss is about.

Nov 15, 201189If you think Resident Evil 4 is dated, then you're a heathen. It's still as fresh now as it's ever been, although you may have to adjust to the control system which is showing its age. More bonus content would have been nice, but the chance to revisit a bona-fide modern classic is massively welcome. Welcome to Resident Evil 4 HD, stranger! You're going to love it all over again.

Nov 4, 2011100With an adventure so far unmatched for memorable moments and constant thrills, the game is truly one of a kind.
-
Oct 31, 201191Resident Evil 4 is still an unsurpassed masterpiece on the 360, but the only reason you should still buy it is if you don't already own it on another console, or if you really want to see the game in HD. If you don't have it or have never played it, though, go get RE4 now--you owe it to yourself as a gamer.
-
Oct 3, 201193It's well worth the hefty XBLA asking price, and if you don't already own this on any of its other platforms, or just want to relive the experience in glorious HD, Resident Evil 4 should be high on your "must play" list.
-
Oct 3, 201190Capcom basically had no chance of living up to this with future iterations. It was too good, too ahead of its time.
-
Sep 28, 2011100If you somehow never played RE4 on the GameCube or PS2 then you owe it to yourself to download this game right now. It doesn't matter if the graphics could have been a little, tiny bit better because the gameplay is something that cannot be improved. This is the epitome of game design and a truly awe-inspiring masterpiece.
-
Sep 26, 201196RE 4 is one of those games that could be re-released every five to ten years and still be as good and as important as it was the first go around.
-
Sep 23, 201191If nothing else you're getting one of the best games from last-gen on current gen consoles, and the HD upscaling looks fantastic.
-
Sep 21, 201188If you're not necessarily a fan of the series or haven't yet played Resident Evil 4, this is arguably the best the franchise has to offer, and the slick new look brings it closer to what we've come to expect visually from games this generation. Resident Evil 4 HD isn't a perfect port, but it offers a ton of content for a budget price.

Sep 21, 201190A true killer app when it was released on the GameCube in 2005, Resident Evil 4 was a decisive take on the series, and on the action genre as a whole.
-
Sep 20, 201190This game is a testament to Capcom's genre mastery, and it's as incredible now as it's ever been. [Nov 2011, p.85]
-
Sep 19, 201190While the opening chapter proved to be a lesson in re-learning how to play, once it all clicked again it became apparent just how much I love Capcom's highly-celebrated game. For me it's easily the best Resident Evil title, and an absolute must-buy for anyone interested in action or horror. Resident Evil 4 remains one of the greats.

Oct 31, 201190Essential for nubies - not for historical purposes, but because it's still an exemplary shooter, even now. [Christmas 2011, p.109]
-
Oct 23, 201194Not the glorious HD we'd hoped for, but we're always up for another play of this. [Dec 2011, p.96]
