A sublime pack for Resi veterans with great replay value. Essential. [May 2010, p.120]
This nightmare is decidedly brief, clocking in at around an hour or so. At the five dollar price point, though, it won't break the bank. If you're hungry for another dose of horror, don't hesitate to check it out.
It is great to get back into the swing of RE5, and I definitely recommend picking this up if you love the series as much as I do. It truly makes you want a remake of the original trilogy with this new engine.
Lost in Nightmares is definitely well worth the purchase for 400 points, and if you're a fan of the series, especially the older games, then this new episode should be right up your street as it brings back some fond memories.
Regardless of shortcomings, this high-tension, semi-return to old-school survival horror is an enjoyable experience that longtime fans will adore and newer players will easily get into.
It's not bad, per say, there just isn't enough of it. The inclusion of new characters for Mercenaries mode is good, but hardly worth picking up the pack for, unless, again, you happen to be a complete loyalist to the series.
I like the concept of returning to the mansion (or its doppelganger) with a new emphasis on teamwork, and I like the two additions to Mercenaries, but there isn’t enough substance in action, storytelling, nor the puzzles to make Lost in Nightmares stand out.
