They didn't even have the decency to make a story out of the few activities featured. Hopefully the next DLC, 'The Trouble with Clones...', won't seem as sloppily slapped together.

Not horrible but this is just a bunch of side missions and side missions suck. No new vehicles, weapons or anything cool. I would recommend skipping it or only picking it up if you find it on sale.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. To me it seems as though this DLC could have been a lot more than it really was. When i first played a professor Genki it made me think this DLC would have been perfect in every way possible. Unfortunately to me, it wasn't. It seems as though they tried to implement a story into it but ended up just seeming sloppy. The main quest line for it is mainly composed of just a revamped or more hectic version of a regular side-missions in game. For example, when you must escort prof. Genki around Steelport before making his appearance you must run over some people. To me this seems as though it is just a remade version of Zimos' escort service. When you actually play a super ethical reality climax it seems as though they captured most of the elements, but they feel short on the appeal to me. The reality climaxes to me felt as though it was just, kill a bunch of people, run around like a madman trying to find a health sign to shoot, kill a brute, repeat. While i do admit that Sexy kitten's and Sad Panda's missions were very fun they couldn't make up for the other two missions. Sad Panda's skyblazing felt knew and exciting but Sexy kitten's Yarngasm (i believe this is what it is called) just felt like playing Mayhem except without using guns and you had a tank. Honestly the DLC feels like the developers were lazy and added a new paint job to old mini-games and added a new one to trick you. I wouldn't pick this up unless you really want to see for yourself what it is like so you can develop your own opinion. Expand

I just picked this up on sale for 280 points and am I mad at myself!I let the reviews get the best of me and thought it wasn't going to be good. For the asking price of 560 points it's a steal. It's pure fun that will make you laugh from the start of the mission just like the whole game did.If you look at it like that, then there is nothing to complain about but if you look at it in the light of how Rockstar's add-on's are full content like getting another game then it is disappointing but I look at this the way it should be looked at.It's really as long as you want it to be,I can play this over and over, still have fun, still laugh, and be confident that I got a great deal. What a ride! Overall I enjoyed this dlc and thought it brought a lot of new things to the game such as activities and vehicles. However there aren't really missions its all side missions or activities. At 560msp for xbox live I feel that its a little overpriced and should be around the 300-350 msp mark. If you are a big fan of the Saints Row series then you won't really mind what price it is and enjoy it. If you aren't that bug of a fan then you could give it a try and know for the future what Volition's dlc are like. Expand

First off I must say this DLC's new challenges are loads of fun and I must admit I did bust out my terrible Japanese Gameshow host accent and it offended myself and my Roommate, however at this point I had Infinite ammo for all my guns so most of the challenges were a breeze. But I kinda wish there was more story and maybe a cool bossfight towards the end so yeah all in all it's worth it.

Honestly, I thought it was okay, playing the new Genki Bowl activities. But then it got too repetitive for my liking. It's cool that you get 4 new homies, Sexy Kitten, Angry Tiger, Sad Panda and Tammy Tolliver (Excuse me if i spelt the last name wrong for Tammy), but i tend not to use them a lot, partly because they have really irritating voices and the vehicles are pretty bad too. All you get are 3 terrible pink cars and the Genki Mobile, which, is pretty cool if you like fairly fast cars which shoot fire. Basically, the Genki Mobile is a faster, cooler looking Gat Mobile. One thing i do like though, are the masks and suit (Sad Panda Suit). I find my self wearing them quite often when i am mowing down Syndicate with my Giant Purple **** (Or The Penitrator, if your a massive Saints Row: The Third fan). Over all, it is a interesting DLC and if you have enough money, maybe get it, but only if you like Activities and Costumes. Expand

From the moment the Monday Night Football theme song kicks off, you know you're going to love the new Genkibowl VII DLC for Saint's Row: The Third. It continues the mayhem and utter amazing stupidity of the core game in a short burst of activities and new gear.

The cost of Genkibowl VII isn't worth the quantity of gameplay you get for your money, and the quality of the gameplay isn't good enough to justify committing to a Season Pass at this point. I had a lot of fun with Saints Row: The Third, I expected more out of Professor Genki.
