Those who have a reliable gaming comrade on hand will find Schizoid to be a very rewarding cooperative romp, even in the face of some derivative level design. Just don't expect to feel the magic if you're the only one playing.
Schizoid's simple to learn but difficult to master attitude makes this definitely one of the better XBLA games of 2008.
Schizoid is a fine entry to the XBLA library, with plenty of depth and difficulty to challenge even the most hardcore gamer. Those looking to see exactly how good they are at co-op games will find this quite the test of their skill and patience with partners.
The single-player won't entertain for long, but the simple premise, clean visuals, and fiendish challenge deliver hours of multiplayer fun.
Playing it singularly, the computer AI works well in controlling the other ship, but this is best played with two easily amused people. [Issue#34, p.117]
