It may be hard for some to fully appreciate the three games that make up Sega Vintage Collection: Monster World, but for those who can, you'll find a wonderful world of retro adventure awaiting.

The Monster World collection isn't for everyone – people who like side scrolling action RPGs will enjoy Monster World IV but may be put off by the slow pace of the other two games. It's a nice package though, and a great way to enjoy some older games. For fans of the series, Monster World IV is probably worth 800 points alone; the two other games and the trials mode is just the icing on the cake.

Monster World is the real highlight of these Vintage Collections... You have to hand it to old action-adventures: they manage to stay surprisingly young.

Only diehard fans will spend more than a couple hours with the Wonder Boys, but Monster World IV is worth a look all by itself.
