At 800 MS Points, Flying Ace is a steal for multiplayer gamers.
  2. Snoopy Flying Ace is a great arcade flight sim that packs in a lot of action at a low price.
  3. Issues aside, Snoopy: Flying Ace is a triumph for one reason above all else – feel. Once you get the hang of it, there's a connection with the controls and a sense of mastery that few games pull off successfully.
  4. The single-player game isn't very long, but the core of this title is the multiplayer, anyway, and you can play it for hours.
  5. Snoopy Flying Ace is a fun and accessible aerial arcade shooter with a whole lot of polish and personality. It may not offer a whole lot of depth, but for only 800 MS Points you still get quite a bit of game for your buck with more in the form of DLC on the way.
  6. With a comprehensive array of multiplayer modes adding plenty of dogfighting action to the fray, this is well worth checking out, if inessential for the committed veterans.
  7. Yes, it has been said; the game is short. I admit that I was very surprised when the credits rolled and it had only been a couple of hours. The thing is, with a fun single (or co-op) game mixed with some great online multiplayer action, I don't think you can really go wrong with Snoopy Flying Ace.
  8. One of the best air combat games ever.

This isn't the deepest flying game you'll ever play, but it's certainly among the most fun and accessible.
  10. Snoopy Flying Ace may not do anything that arcade dogfight games of past console generations didn't already cover but it remains a unique title in the XBLA catalog and I'm glad that I gave it a chance despite its questionable provenance.
  11. Smart Bomb doesn't try to bite off more than it can chew. [July 2010, p.77]

You will be surprised at just how deep the combat can be, not to mention how addicting it is to get into a good 16-player skirmish over Xbox Live.
  13. Snoopy Flying Ace gives new meaning to a dogfight, that's certainly for sure. With a bargain price for a full-featured game, Snoopy Flying Ace is an ace's-high shooter with plenty of entertaining arcade-style plane combat, including challenging online play, for XBLA gamers.
  14. All in all, if you're looking for some chaotic arcade shooting in the skies, Snoopy Flying Ace delivers a pretty good experience for an Xbox Live Arcade game.
  15. It's not going to change the world but this is a simple, accessible pseudo flight sim that's plenty of fun.

Snoopy Flying Ace has leapfrogged to the top of the downloadable pile and easily makes the shortlist of the best games on XBLA. Highly recommended.
  17. For the most part the simplified controls work like a charm, allowing the player to zip around the map, easily locating their prey. It's the maps themselves that are the problem-they're far too small for the number of players that regularly compete on them.
  18. The odd thing about Snoopy Flying Ace is that it isn't perfect, yet it is very hard to pinpoint anything that is actually wrong with it.
  19. For $10, you are definitely getting something that hasn't been offered on an Xbox console since Crimson Skies: an easy, straightforward and incredibly fun to play aerial combat game that you can enjoy for hours.
  20. Its whole package oozes charm. [Issue#60, p.106]
  21. To those of you that may have scoffed at flying games in the past, I urge you to give this one a try. I have a feeling you will become an aerial combat convert.

It is hard to imagine the Peanuts gang being relevant in 2010 but Flying Ace shows that a good idea, great execution and a little imagination can make anything possible.
  23. It combines the cuteness of Peanuts with the brilliance of Crimson Skies and creates one of the most surprising packages of 2010 and probably one of the best online experiences of this year.
  24. Starts off crap, gets a bit better, ends up disappointing. It's a rollercoaser, for sure - but no Diddy Kong Racing. [Aug 2010, p.121]
  25. Few games released have as much charm as Snoopy Flying Ace; it's surreal to the point of brilliance.
  26. Snoopy Flying Aces is an absolute blast to play and offers one of the best experiences available on XBLA. Don't write it off just because of a certain famous beagle.
  27. Snoopy: Flying Ace is an enjoyable, well designed and great looking title – in fact, selling as it does for a measly 800 MS points, its production values are nothing short of astonishing.
  28. A whimsical, imaginative take on World War I that has you fighting for freedom and for fun. The missions get repetitive, and there are only three types of planes with different skins, but the combat itself is entertaining, the weapons are cool, the multiplayer is a ton of fun - and it's jam-packed with lovable charm.
  29. The single player game is spectacular; now add on some multiplayer mayhem and that make this game skyrocket to the top of our favorites list.
