  1. I had a fantastic time from start to finish, and even though the combat did get repetitive, the action was so fluid and intense that it never bothered me. I thought the combat was much better than even the major movie games, perhaps because there was less emphasis on swinging and wall climbing.
  2. There’s not much here that hasn’t been done a thousand times in older games. Younger players might enjoy it, but it’s somewhat one dimensional.
  3. The graphics don't look like much, but they stay true to the comic books. It would've been great to have more unlockable goodies and online play options. Besides that, this old-school brawler offers lots of fun.

The game is obviously geared most toward the younger set, but even kids like a bit of challenge, right?

8 for kids or 5 for adults. I got this game on the day it came out in Australia for my youngest son who is 6. He and his 8 year old brother had lots of fun playing it, trying out the various superheros and villians as well as fighting each other in the versus mode. I have also played it with my wife, and whilst not being a challenge, I did enjoy the co-op play (which more games should have as it is better to play with someone else than alone) and it sure made for some easy achievement points. The graphics are ok (not next-gen though), the controls are easy (although there are lots of different moves available when using different combos of buttons), the sound is good and the voice acting has a nice touch of humour to it. It is definately aimed at a younger crowd and although single player is ok, 2 player co-op (not split screen) is much more fun. I don't think it is worth full price, but I suspect that it will be discounted fairly quickly (particularly after the poor reviews it has been getting), so if you can pick it up cheap and have kids it is well worth a go. 2. I liked the idea the developer had with the game but the way it was brought together was awful. Firstly to make a spin-off spider-man game based off the three movie considering the majority or characters you play as are all dead! I've seen better combat in WWE:Legends or Wrestlemania, better graphocs as well, the game is only worth playing if your an achievement whore or playing with your yonger sibling/Nephew/Cousin. if you want a true Next-Gen Spider-man game play shattered dimensions or web of shadows, not this crap Collapse
  3. A game where we can play as our favourite Spidey villains as well as the web head himself? Surely this game is what us super-hero nerds have been waiting for?! Sadly, as great as it sounds, this game lets us down badly.

Aside from the linear level design (which is just unacceptable in a Spidey game) and the boring missions, this game could have worked. After a normal night for Spidey, he is recruited by Nick Fury of S.H.E.I.L.D. to help kick butt... Throughout his adventures, Spiderman has the freedom to team up with some of your favourite bad guys such as Green Goblin and Venom. However, the game just fails to do anything we've never seen done better in other games. It's short levels and tiny amount of achievements give it little replay ability.

Although the game had a good idea, the concept is lost with each bad guy you recruit and just fails to give us the Spider-Man magic we wanted. Spider-Man: Friend or Foe gets a saddening 4 out of 10.

The old style of the game doesn't compare to the graphics of the newer games.
