It's a perfect blend of easy, moderate and hard achievements - every gamer can get some of these, but it takes real effort to get them all. Great job, Capcom!
The controls are iffy at best. The d-pad on the Xbox 360 controller isn’t suited for 2d gaming. It’s definitely harder to perform Ryu’s fireballs, Sagat’s leaping uppercut, and Guile’s sonic boom with the d-pad that is offered.

How much you like this game will probably depend on your age. I was in high school when this came out, so it brought back great memories of mopping up the arcade floor with random punks. Online is probably laggy since it doesn't use GGPO, but since no one plays this anymore I don't know. If you can find at least 1 buddy for couch vs it's a blast. Pure, simple and perfect. (and only $5)

A port of the classic Nintendo system with problems in the playability , the persistent desire to be a good player in the game is an impossible task to achieve. Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting is painfully fun, expect to see a lot of" You Lose " or whatever, not even on easy the AI lets you breath, is full retro perspective though. I'm not completely digging the multiplayer because there is a lot of skilled person that ruins your flavor to win ( someday you will make it) . But get use to it back in the 90's everything was like that.

And that's the main reason to buy it: to simulate the exhilarating competitive spirit found in the arcades and to play against different people from all parts of the world -- all without ever leaving the comfort of your own home.
There is no other fighting game that has the history that Street Fighter does and now you can still enjoy the old school arcade feeling on your brand spanking' new Xbox 360.
It’s an old-school brawler with all the right moves and players despite the awkward 360 controller scheme and the seriously flawed online multiplayer mode. Really, consider this $10 or 800 points well spent.
Instead of yesterday’s news, it’d be nice to see a high resolution, high definition 2D fighter on XBLA instead of ancient blocky sprites.
So, let's sum up: lag so frustrating you want to gouge your eyes out with a spoon, tiresome deliberate disconnections that make a mockery of the ranking system, and a d-pad designed to make you jump around the screen like some deranged monkey on speed. Not particularly positive.
The game is fun only if your playing with a few friends but against the cpu its more frustrating than fun,don't bother playing in very easy cause they can even beat you without breaking a sweat,the movie was a good addtion to the game and the reason why i'm giving it a 5,cause without the film i'd give it a lower score,That said only fun if you with a friend,if not the only fun without playing with a friend is to watch the movie.Having brutal and unfair AI makes this game bad no matter how good street fighter is.

This game is such a disappointment. Graphics are good for a 1993 fighting game but the gameplay is anything but "hyper". The AI is super-cheap because it input reads, and the combo potential is very limited compared to Street Fighter IV. The sound isn't good either; although Guile's theme does make up for that. I respect this game's simplicity and the limited moves list of characters makes the game less complex; especially given that there are no supers, ultras or EX moves. No meter, pure skill from round one. The screen is too small though, and there isn't an offline versus mode. My main issue with this game isn't the game mechanics, characters or moves. It's the pacing. Very slow, very boring and skill cap is way too low. Throws do too much damage and the animation lasts for way too long. The whole point of simplifying the game by removing meter and giving characters less moves and calling it "Hyper Fighting" is surely to make it fast-paced. But it's painfully slow, and this isn't aided by the overpowered throws and lack of ability to tech them. Avoid this game unless you really need a tried-and-tested 2D fighting game.

Street Fighter before all the super moves just doesn't feel very appealing to me. It's a super basic form of a fighting game, and one that doesn't always get the inputs correctly. It's quite a playable game, and something that can easily have had meta built around it, but I personally take other fighting games over this one if imma be **** to mention that the arcade mode for this game is rather ruthless, a lot of the moves the computer does for charged characters and boss characters feel way too fast for how they are actually conducted, and it always feels they have far more health than you do. Not to mention how long the campaign is. Really I don't think Street Fighter II got good till Super.
