Dec 12, 201180Frustrating at times but on the whole a great game for individual or multiple players. It's definitely worth the low price of 800 Microsoft Points.
-
Jul 26, 201184You should keep your head cool to master these hot puzzle challenges – nice graphics and ideas as well as an motivating coop-mode.
-
Jul 21, 201142I did not enjoy my time with The Adventures of Shuggy. The platforming kept me from properly enjoying the puzzles, while the game tried to keep me from even seeing all the puzzles the game had to offer. It was more like work than any videogame should be, and egregiously overpriced work at that.
-
Jul 18, 201180The Adventures of Shuggy is one of the best XBLA games of the year and a pleasant surprise for fans of "Braid-and-Winterbottom-esque" gameplay titles.
-
Jul 18, 201175For 800ms points ($10), Shuggy might seem like it is a tad overpriced based simply on the screenshots, but I encourage gamers to give the demo a trial run to see if the unique gameplay is as appealing to them as it i to me. Considering the game has over 100 levels and even supports local co-op play, $10 goes a long way.

Jul 15, 201180This game has surprised us and it turns out the be one of the first surprises of the Summer. A simple yet very addictive and fun game.
-
Jul 14, 201177Frustrating as well as fun, and simply for the Super Meat Boy crowd.
-
Jul 14, 201175The Adventures of Shuggy is a fresh old school puzzle game.
-
Jul 8, 201190Aside from those minor complaints, The Adventures of Shuggy is a superb 2D platformer deserving of a much wider audience (the leaderboards paint a slightly depressing picture of the game's sales to date). Smudged Cat Games have created a game with heart, intelligence and a mansion-load of well-applied ideas.
-
Jul 7, 201175Despite not being totally original The Adventures of Shuggy combines a funny and intriguing style with some cool gameplay features, resulting in a game that deserve at least a try.
-
Jul 7, 201175In The Adventures of Shuggy you get a a ton of challenges that every puzzler can enjoy. Don't drop the game because of the first easy puzzles, because they get extremely difficult, very fast. Despite some flaws this game is well worth your money.
-
Jul 5, 201180The Adventures of Shuggy is a cute platform puzzler that pushes the envelope with a deluge of gameplay ideas.
-
Jul 5, 201170Shuggy's a clever game rather than a truly smart one – a smart game wouldn't do half as much to undermine itself along the way – but it's still worth sticking with to its bitter and infuriating end.
-
Jul 5, 201180A fresh old school puzzle platform, fun and lenghty, with a lot of nice ideas and variety. Trial and error formula lead to some frustration.
-
Jul 2, 201175But it's certainly easier to grit your teeth through some frustration when almost every level has an intriguing new wrinkle.
-
Jun 28, 201160Nothing is broken, and The Adventures of Shuggy is a solid, functional title. But it wasn't until the later levels that the toe-curling, tense moments came in and I felt any exhilaration or reward.
-
Jun 27, 201180For the price, it's surprising to see so much content packed into an Xbox Live Arcade game. The Adventures of Shuggy isn't as polished as the top-tier platformers it's put up against, but it is a great game regardless.
-
Jun 27, 201170The Adventures of Shuggy won't be remembered for its originality, but it's a surprisingly fun platform game, with a lot of stages and a hefty dose of variation applied to its game-mechanics that keep it fresh and interesting.
-
Jun 20, 201183If you're a fan of games like Super Meat Boy and you're looking for some interesting twists to the platforming genre, The Adventures of Shuggy is worth checking out. Smudged Cat's first entry in the big leagues is a promising start, and has me excited for the studio's next project.
-
Jun 19, 201180Shuggy is able to take a gamer back to their roots of gaming, with a fun and jazzy soundtrack and brilliantly bright colours in a much more simplistic looking environment as opposed to today's games. Shuggy offers a nostalgic journey to the past in a game that is both addictive and enjoyable to the end.
-
Jun 17, 201190You'll get their money's worth and more with this game. A puzzle/platformer that's not only challenging and addicting, but also adorable, Adventures of Shuggy is a title that gamers of any age and ability are sure to enjoy.
-
Jun 17, 201180The controls are silky smooth, the visual style is adorable, and it doesn't involve shooting men in the face. All this for less than the price of a Spectrum game.
-
Aug 19, 201170Quite spectacularly varied, though not necessarily all that inventive, The Adventures of Shuggy excels as a brain-teasing platformer almost in spite of its sadistic design. [Issue#75, p.100]
-
Jul 25, 201174This old-school platformer is given a twist. [Sept 2011, p.87]
-
Jul 13, 201180Marred only by its own unreached potential. [Aug 2011, p.98]
