I don't get the appeal of this game. I played the demo and never got to bat. The cpu scored like 12 runs and every hit was either a homerun or a double (regardless of where I pitched it). I was lucky to get an out cuz the cpu actually hit a ball right at one of my guys. After 12 runs I turned it off and deleted the demo.

"Joe C" is an idiot for reviewing this with a zero rating... Bought this two days ago, and am still having nothing but fun with it! Great game.

It would be hard to get the appeal of the game if you were as terrible at video games as Joe C. apparently is. For those looking for an alternative to the more realistic baseball video games (and as the only alternative on 360), The Bigs 2 will satisfy. It has arcade-style appeal and is best played in shorter intervals.

First off joey c don't give a game a bad review because your bad at it and actually play the game not the demo. This game gets fun when you learn how to play it. there also is home run pinball which can become a blast.

I don't get the appeal of someone writing a review about a video game that they played for a half inning of a demo version. This game rocks!!!! Not a sim, it's fun to play an over the top arcade game. Season mode makes this better than the previous effort.

Great game with epic baseball sequences, tight controls, fun arcade style, and great player models - where is the love for the ONLY baseball game that's worth playing since the MVP baseball franchise?

This game makes baseball games fun. While other baseball games fall behind in the realism of how long the sport is, this game makes 9 innings feel like 1. The small mini games engage you to keep you on the edge of your seat. They are fun to preform as they usually help you get out of tight spots. The sheer power of when you hit a fastball with David Ortiz is just blows your mind. The point system for Big Blasts, Slams, and Heats, can really change a game for you if your losing. One of the best sport games ever. Expand

I thought the game was fun and that's exactly what all my friends think too! This is the perfect group game because 1. It doesn't have a learning curve of a few hours like other baseball games and 2. MINI GAMES!!!! the mini games alone could have been released as a seperate game if you asked me! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended!

This game is not for those looking for a realistic baseball game. It's like those cheesy NFL Blitz and NBA Jam games. In fact, I think there was a baseball game made by Midway just like those two. Most games are like 20 runs to 19 runs, since it's easy to hit a home run. It's entertaining for maybe 30 minutes. After that, the constant homeruns just got irritating.

The Bigs was an extremely fun game (except for Home Run Pinball). The Bigs 2 - not so much. It's like they (the developers) looked at all the things that made The Bigs fun, and then eliminated them in The Bigs 2. Things like getting to choose which path you want to take with your "superstar". You don't get to decide if you want a speed demon or a slugger in the early portions - the path now is fairly linear. Another gripe is the way they programmed the batter's "power-up". It's fairly useless in The Bigs 2. You actually hit better not pulling the trigger and forcing the opposing pitcher to throw a strike. I have no idea why they changed that aspect - it was a fairly stupid decision. (The Big Blast & Big Heat are still fairly good though.) There are going to have to be some seriously good reviews for me to shell out the dough for The Bigs 3. As for The Bigs 2 - my recommendation is to skip it, or at the least buy it at a steep discount. Expand

  1. Doesn't make any earth-shattering changes to its predecessor, but it also doesn't break anything, either. [Aug 2009, p.76]
  2. The BIGS 2 comes through huge. It's still the game that it was meant to be, it's got a season mode and it's still baseball as opposed to a sideshow. The new version is deeper and a little more polished, and that's more than can be said about most sports games.

The Bigs 2, like its predecessor, is bringing fans an action-packed experience with the same over-the-top gameplay that made the first so enjoyable - and it's doing it with far less glitches.
