Telltale Games clearly has another hit on its hands and I cannot wait to see how this story unfolds… or more appropriately how I choose to unfold it.

The most exhilarating moments, however, arrive care of the game's brutal action sequences.

Telltale has once again delivered a well-written adventure, this time with an added dose of stylish noir presentation.

While the gameplay is still second-rate compared to the story, Faith succeeds most because of its unpredictability. Even longtime Fables fans will be shocked by some of the revelations.

The characters are interesting, the writing is sharp, and the story switches effortlessly between thoughtful investigation sequences and more action-heavy scenes featuring some of the most effective quick-time events I’ve seen in a while.

Superb beginning for the new series from Telltale. Fables tastefully mixes elements of noir films with supernatural elements to make an intriguing story with great rhythm and fantastic characters. We only wish the studio ironed out some bugs.

Technical issues aside, anyone craving more of the sort of stuff Telltale was serving up with Lee and Clementine would be well-advised to check into The Wolf Among Us.

The Wolf Among Us is a fantastic adaptation of the Fables source material, and everyone should at least check out episode 1. Once again, the team at Telltale shows us that they know what makes a narrative great.

It’s a harder sell than The Walking Dead but this first episode is a promising start, that avoids fretting over details and instead creating characters you will genuinely care about.

The Wolf Among Us is off to a great start – if it can replicate The Walking Dead’s emotional nuance and stakes going forward, it could turn into something special.

Faith comes quickly in the heart of the matter and suggests an absolutely bright future for this new series.

By the end of this first two-and-a-half hour episode of The Wolf Among Us, I was absolutely in for seeing how the series plays out.

Managing to create a prequel story for a universe that had already existed for over ten years, that has spanned different art styles and spun many stories, is no mean feat, but on the basis of this first episode, it looks as though The Wolf Among Us is a worthy addition to the world of Fables.

If Episode 1’s satisfying twists and gut-punch of a cliffhanger are any indication, a pitch-black journey into fairytale land lies ahead. Count us in for the long haul.

The Wolf Among Us is a fantastic narrative adventure equal to its Walking Dead predecessor.

This debut episode from The Wolf Among Us crafts an excellent illusion that usually veils the systematic gears that click and whir whenever you veer down a particular path. More impressively, it nails its atmosphere.

Faith is very by the numbers in terms of the level of storytelling with a few hiccups in tow, but I have a feeling that like The Walking Dead, it’ll ramp up as time goes on. Whether you’re a fan of Fables or not, I see a lot of potential in The Wolf Among Us, and I’ll be following its progress beyond a shadow of a doubt.

The Wolf Among Us is novel but, as of its first episode, not really all that captivating, either as a game or a work of fiction. There’s a wealth of potential, though—enough that I’m entertained and looking forward to plot progression in Episode Two.

And while The Walking Dead had its share of technical problems, here they’re even worse, with lengthy loading times on 360 fracturing the pace and some several-second freezes completely killing the tension during fight scenes.

But, story-wise, I'm hooked. The characters are fascinating, the plot heavy with potential, and my faith in Telltale's skill is high. Consider this score a work in progress then, with the expectation that it will rise over the coming months as Mr Wolf's investigation deepens.

Really deep characters and awesome graphic style. If you loved The Walking Dead, you gonna love this too, it have same mechanics, but improved. Great music doing good job and fighting scenes are much more intensive, than in TWD. Im really looking forward new episodes, hopefully it will not take so long between them, as it was with TWD. PS: i haven't been so angry for a while (ending scene), great emotions. Full Review »

Well, let´s cut it short: Ahe art design, the dialogues, the story telling and foremost the characters are extremely well done, if you judge aan adventure by that, it´s a true masterpiece. However, don´t forget that the solution to most "problems" in the game are pretty obvious, and it´s quite short even for a first episode.

However, it is still a game every TT fan can buy without remorse.
