  • Summary: Thunder Wolves puts gamers in the hot seat of an experienced helicopter group that has survived a flurry of bullets and caused more destruction than the Seventh United State Army. Gamers will embark on a variety of missions including high-risk convoy protection, deploying a commando on fast-moving train or unleashing hell on a fully destructible battlefield. Collapse

Surprise attack from some chopsy 'copters. [Aug 2013, p.91]

Looking past the dumb mini-games and small issues, I can see just how enjoyable Thunder Wolves can be. If you enjoy a good action title with a lot of explosions, you may want to check it out.

Thunder Wolves is a fresh breath of air in a rather boring genre. With it’s nostalgic flirtation the game doesn’t make a big deal of being over the top, silly or corny. And even though the length is rather short Thunder Wolves delivers an experience of pure joy in a way more action games should dare to do.

A very brief and shallow experience that will entertain you for a few hours at best.

Even players with an insatiable lust for fiery explosions will be disappointed when they find that the whole affair’s easily finished in under four hours. Thunder Wolves is mindless fun if you're in the right mood, but it's just too flawed and fleeting to be a good value.

Thunder Wolves crashes through your television screen in an orgy of wanton explosions and over the top set pieces. For 800 MS points you could do a lot worse. Highly recommended if you're in the mood to blow up while grinning like the Cheshire Cat the entire time. Expand
