It improves on the original in every way and shows just how a sequel should be done and is as close to a perfect sequel you will get. You owe it to yourself to buy this

Trials has cleverly adapted to its environment and become even more of an everyman's game. It's still incredibly challenging, but the hill to the hardest levels is less steep. The thrills are more thrilling... Rarely have I played a game that better caters to all walks of players.

It's a gamer's game. Little in the way of panache or hand holding and very rewarding to the dedicated. Those who can overcome a few technical issues and a steep mastery curve should reeve their engines and pick this one up from Xbox Live Arcade as soon as possible.

So finely honed that it should be appreciated by a massive swath of people, from hardcore 2D platforming fans to racing fans to editor junkies to, well, douches who like rap/rock remixes and Ed Hardy tees.

With dozens upon dozens of tracks to complete by yourself or with friends both on the couch and online, skill games to break up the traditional track racing and obstacle coursing, and an insanely in-depth, user friendly track creator that should extend the life of the game and the Trials community immensely, the game is a rock solid purchase for the price.

Keeping pace with the infectious, obstacle-based hook that made the original a hit while boldly charting new ground with tuned up features and an ambitious outdoor angle, Trials Evolution brings the breadth of its namesake to bear in a well-equipped and enthusiastically realized sequel that fans of the original shouldn't pass up. When it comes to providing an endless loop of frustration, fun, and harebrained antics on wheels, you'll find few other stunt racers quite as hopelessly addicting as this.

In short, every addition RedLynx has made to Evolution serves to bolster the offerings of Trials HD, while continuing to highlight the game's base: a fantastic physics engine that drives a flow that is simultaneously simple, addictive and frantic. Now if you'll excuse me, I have another nine years of mastering Trials Evolution ahead of me.

Trials Evolution is pure addiction on two wheels with loads of improvements on the already highly motivating predecessor.
  9. Apr 17, 2012
Trials Evolution maintains the series' signature entertaining and immediate gameplay, adding great features like user-created tracks and multiplayer modes. A great game both for casual players and more dedicated fans.

Trials Evolution truly is the next step in the outstanding core experience from HD, polishing every aspect of an already-fantastic game to a near-blinding sheen, and then delivering something peerless in terms of technical precision and visceral addiction. They don't come better than this

Much like a "new and improved" cereal at your grocer, Trials Evolution successfully makes small improvements to its predecessor to cater to its fans. In that area, RedLynx has succeeded. Anyone who enjoyed Trials HD will no doubt love Trials Evolution. Unfortunately, those looking for something more than "more of the same" aren't going to find it here. As the name implies, this is just an evolution of what came before; it's not a revolution.
  12. May 22, 2012
Trials Evolution is a must-have for Trials die-hards, and a perfect, comprehensive starting point for the uninitiated.

Trials Evolution is fantastic fun. Its simplicity and beguiling depth encourages replay, and the addition of social functions encourages a competitive streak in even the most placid of players. It's the perfect sequel to an almost perfect game.
  14. May 15, 2012
Trials Evolution lives up to its name by offering a better learning curve, visuals, environments and multiplayer integration than its predecessor. At 1200 MS points, this is easily one of the best value Xbox Live Arcade games in years.
  15. May 14, 2012
Trials Evolution is really the best Xbox Live Arcade game to date. It is challenging, it is fun and the new courses are brilliant. For 1.200 Microsoft Points you will get a huge amount of content.
  16. May 11, 2012
Trials Evolution is one of the most complete packages on the Xbox Live Arcade. Were it a full retail release, I'd still have no qualms recommending it. As a cheap downloadable release, it's an incredible reminder of just how good we have it as modern gamers.
  17. May 9, 2012
Trials Evolution is one of the best arcade style racers on any console with tight controls, excellent challenges, full multiplayer options, and an expansive map editor.
  18. May 5, 2012
Trials Evolution is addictive. The simple, yet challenging gameplay makes it feel like the Xbox controller is glued to your hands. The extensive track editor adds a piece of tape to the glue, which makes stopping nigh impossible. A worthy sequel to Trials HD.

Trials Evolution, with lot more events, multiplayer online and so on, is the perfect successor of Trials HD. A really funny game that no one should miss.

Trials Evolution is one of the most entertaining games you can find in any digital service.

Trials Evolution can be really annoying, but it's impossible that you won't like it.
  22. Apr 27, 2012
Trials Evolution is a must-buy XBLA game for anyone who loves racing, physics, puzzles, and addictive competition...with yourself and others.
  23. Apr 27, 2012
The guys from Red Lynx made a good decision to keep the game's formula intact. You don't change what's been tested and what works. The base of the game is the same as before, but the amount of changes is big enough to make the game feel more than just a money grab. The title says it all - it's a well-prepared evolution.
  24. Apr 26, 2012
Trials Evolution remains the best Trials experience available today and one of the best values on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The social competition between friends will continue to rage on long after you've made your way through all the tracks and keep you coming back to reclaim the top spot.

From now on, when you search your dictionary for the definition of the word "addiction", Trials Evolution will show up!
  26. Apr 26, 2012
Evolution's main strength comes from ambition. It's definitely a fully-fledged, weighty sequel. With a superb array of courses, newly-introduced multiplayer and a limitless track editor, 1200 MSP remains an absolute steal.
  27. Apr 26, 2012
Trials Evolution is so good that the award for downloadable game of the year may already be locked up.
  28. Apr 25, 2012
The best XBLA game available today. A wonderful accomplishment that you shouldn't overlook.
  29. Apr 25, 2012
Overall, Trials Evolution is definitely one of the best Xbox Live Arcade titles available, if not the best. The title improves on everything from its predecessor and goes one step further with the incredible track editor and the addition of multiplayer. Other developers take note: this is how sequels should be done.
  30. Apr 25, 2012
Trials Evolution takes what was great in Trials HD, and expands it in every conceivable way; a wonderful, frustrating, exhilarating, engrossing game that everyone with some gaming skills should at least try.

What an improvement (not that much improvement was required). the bottomless possibilities with the level editor and the 3 hours of fun ive already had re-playing level after level. For 1200msp Redlynx have gone above and beyond.

Complete improvement on the original, and the insane amount of options available are still blowing my mind. It looks great for a downloadable title, not as good as heavy hitters like Hydrophobia and I Am Alive but still nice visually. It's also nuts the amount of variety the game has, I'm still waiting for the FPS segment I saw from the trailer. Get this. Full Review »

If you liked the first game, go for it - the gameplay basics is the same, but improved, addictive and fun. And now we have the option to play on the same screen online or in Xbox live, with 2 to 4 players. The only minor downside is the soundtrack musics that sometimes are a little annoying, but nothing that spoil the fun! My score: 9,0 / 10,0. Full Review »
