• Summary: UFC Undisputed 2010 is the only mixed martial arts (MMA) videogame this year that delivers the action, intensity and prestige of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Players navigate a roster of more than 100 prolific UFC fighters, each fully rendered to convey a photorealistic appearance. Prominent UFC personalities, including commentators Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg, veteran voice of the Octagon Bruce Buffer, the Octagon Girls, referees, trainers and more, return to showcase an authentic and memorable UFC videogame experience. Enhanced combat offers players a new Sway System with full upper body and head movement that allows for the dodging of attacks. On the ground, a new Posture System enables players to deliver stronger, fight-ending strikes from every position. In addition, players manage Octagon control with new strikes, submissions, transitions and cage positions, as well as experience added realism with the introduction of Southpaw stance. Players also enjoy customizable freedom with created fighters by combining moves from numerous MMA disciplines, including new moves taken from Sambo, Karate and Greco-Roman Wrestling, to become true mixed martial artists. This is easily one of the finest sport recreations we've seen, as it nails the experience. The online fight camps and Create-a-Fighter modes will keep you busy well through the next several pay-per-view events, and the presentation is second-to-none.
  2. 100
Undisputed 2010 builds on the foundation of last year's game, tweaking it where it needed to be and adding other modes and events that re-create the UFC experience to a T. EA has its work cut out for it, because right now there is no better MMA game.
  3. UFC Undisputed has raised the bar in the cage itself but has really let itself down with a career mode that offers very little.

  1. This game improves on ufc 2009 to create a great MMA game. And this is easily the most satisfying mma game ever created. If you are a fan of devastating Ko's and brutal submissions do not thinks twice to pick this game up. Expand

Controls are just as awkward and needlessly complex as the last one. Shining the controller during submissions provides little visual and no tactile feedback. Animations are great during cutscenes but stiff and robotic during gameplay. Character models look like cartoons. Rendering and lighting do a good job of matching a live broadcast overall, but characters look flat and very "gen 2" upon closer scrutiny. AI cheats - any heavyweight match can be won on Expert by spamming punches with Brock Lesnar. Lots of new content though. Single player experience is big, but a little boring. PS3 gets a bit more love with extra fighters and videos. It might be the best UFC game ever, but considering it's limited competition, that's not saying much. Expand

Terrible new clinch system, terrible new submission system, terrible new takedown system, most fights turn into contests to see who can sway longer, repetitive career mode...everything that this game changes from the original is changed for the worst, and everything that was left the same is stale.
