Dec 18, 201074The ten-dollar price tag also feels a bit steep for a game that doesn't have much else going for it, other than a customary multiplayer component. Five dollars would have fit like a glove. If you're a fan of brawlers and you decide to pick it up, your best bet would be to wait for a price drop.

Dec 14, 201066For 800 MS Points, it might not be worth the cash considering there are other beat'em up alternatives on the XBLA. It certainly can provide a challenge, but many gamers today may not have the attention span for modern side-scrolling beat 'em ups such as this.

Jan 10, 201165It's far from the best brawler on XBLA, but Saga is fun enough to warrant a look. [Feb 2011, p.78]

Jan 28, 201160Could have been a great action game with bigger areas and less tedious enemies.

Dec 18, 201060Unbound Saga is a decent enough brawler. You get to pick up and throw homeless people against a wall, which is always fun, and the story itself is good enough to have you button-mash your way to its finale. But its basic, sluggish gameplay is stuck in the '90s. In this age we expect more.

Feb 12, 201150Ultimately fairly soulless. [Issue#68, p.101]

Dec 20, 201040Unbound Saga has a tempting premise and a snazzy style, complete with visual sound effects, but the brawling action can't hold a candle to Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, or even Turtles in Time Re-Shelled. As a fan of the genre, it saddens me to say that the best thing about Unbound Saga is the unusually cool soundtrack.

Dec 18, 201040Unbound Saga is a beautiful, poorly executed snoozer that can't hold the player's attention for too long.
-
Dec 18, 201040Unbound Saga is one brutally boring brawler.
-
Dec 18, 201030No-one cared when this was released on PSP in summer 2009, and they certainly won't give a flying fig about it now.
