  • Summary: Enter the colorful world of West Wallaby Street in the first of four cracking adventures in Wallace & Gromit Episode 1: Fright of the Bumblebees. In this first episode, the inventor and his loyal pooch are faced with a big problem. They need 50 gallons of honey by tonight--far more than their bees can handle. When Wallace's plans to step up production go horribly awry, it falls to Gromit to fight off the angry swarm.

Featuring a brand new story with the same slapstick humour, cinematic visuals, and charm that fans of the Wallace & Gromit films have come to love, Fright of the Bumblebees kicks off this four-episode series in cracking style!

  1. A great first Wallace and Gromit episode that will entertain all who play and even watch it.
  2. It feels a lot like what the Wallace & Gromit short films do: compact movies that make up for in quality what they lack in run time.
  3. The story is engrossing and adults, as well as young children, will most likely love this XBLA game and its contents.
  4. This mild-mannered adventure neatly captures the whimsical charm of Wallace & Gromit.
  5. Not overly ambitious, but rather charming. [June 2009, p.94]
  6. The sense of humor and expression known in the series are there. For fans of the series this is certainly not the most sophisticated adventure, but the world of Wallace & Gromit is well reproduced by the adventure and you’ll will find here a lovely and appealing experience.
  7. A thoroughly tedious adventure with weak jokes and puzzles made hard through length not smarts. [July 2009, p.103]
