84The most innovative game on the xbox live arcade, and it's filled with gametypes that make it well worth the Microsoft points.
-
83The presentation is superb on all fronts, and the gameplay is unique and intuitive. For ten bones, this is without question a must-have.
-
83Graphics are very good, and sounds are even better. Control is very easy once you get the hang of it, and the game gives you a great tutorial to start things off.
-
80Coupled with more exciting levels in the latter stages of the main mode, and the thrill of hitting triple-digit scores in Loopnastics, Wik is like a web-game that grew up.
-
80The inclusion of local multiplayer and leaderboards to compare your stats against other players is also an added bonus that can motivate some to keep playing until they're at the top of the list.
-
80Wik: Fable of Souls may not be the most exciting Live Arcade title, but it scratches an action/puzzle itch that few other games can match.
-
80The four player action and quirky storyline makes this one unique, making the downloading of this title a no-brainer for platforming fiends.
-
As the cricket-like Wik, you use your tongue to collect grubs to feed your slow-moving monster and snatch acorns to spit at your insect foes. [Jun 2006, p.64]
-
80It's weird, but familiar in all the right ways. I was addicted, but it did drive me batty.
-
When I initially reviewed this game for the PC I found it to be one of the most engaging and addicting titles I had ever played, and thankfully, Wik: Fable of Souls not only holds up under the pressure of steep 360 competition; it actually expands that addiction with new levels, new modes, intuitive console controls, and some of the best gameplay $5 can buy.
-
80Simply a fun downloadable game, so go on and give the demo a try and if you like it, purchase the full version.
-
80You really have to play this game to understand it but it includes plenty of challenge and lots of replayability, and it looks great to boot. Definitely the dark horse of Xbox Live Arcade!
-
80With over 100 story levels, tons of bonus and challenge levels, and even a local multi-player mode for up to four players there is certainly plenty to keep most gamers occupied for quite some time.
-
78It has an undeniably appealing visual style akin to the "Oddworld" titles back on PSOne. The game is mainly about controls, and after getting the hang of them you'll find the game pulls off what it's trying to do fairly well.
-
75The main character of this cleverly designed game gets to swing around using his tongue and inhale grubs and other bugs, but it's a whole lot more pleasant than that.
-
The option for online multiplayer would have surely added more replay value to the game, but to give credit where it's due, this is my favorites Xbox Live Arcade game at the moment.
-
As pick-up-and-play titles go, this is absolutely top-notch. [Issue#23, p.96]
-
We expected nothing, but came away with something special and interesting. [Issue #16, p.78]
-
70I found the unique gameplay to be a tad cumbersome at first but once I had more time with the system it grew on me.
-
65It isn't quite the best puzzle game out there, but if you want something completely different then it might be right up your alley.

DavidS.6The only thing that is really fun with this game is the multiplayer.

[Anonymous]3120 levels of bland, repetive "puzzles"... great. Just download the trial and see for yourself.
